The only best halal food in HCMC. The quality of food served is excellent and delicious and prepared with care. The owner is a dedicated man who obviously cares greatly for his business, his food and above all his customers. Halal food a novelty in HCMC and therefore the prices are higher understandably. However, having eaten at other neighboring restaurants, none satisfied me with the quality of their food as Daun did. Other restaurants were noisy, cluttered and served seriously bland food. I think what has happened is that since halal food in HCMC is rare, other outlets don't care about quality as much since the Muslim customers will be forced to go to these restaurants. Daun, on the other hand, is still dedicated to serving great food. For that I am truly grateful. Don't take my word for it. Feel free to compare yourselves.

This halal & veg-friendly outlet is a delightful find💕 The menu is pretty extensive from Japanese to Western and South East Asian. We chose some healthy options - beef broth, French beans+egg, mushroom omelette & tumeric prawn (not on menu but a request that was graciously met). Mr Soffian, the owner, has a genuinely friendly personality with a passion for good service and great food. Wonderful hospitality! We got to try his egg coffee - a yummy concoction that seems like a dessert in a cup! If you’re after good friendly service and yummy food with something on the menu for a diverse group, you can’t go wrong with this eatery. Vert strongly recommended.

Located in the heart of Ho Chi Minh City, Dau Restaurant offers a delightful blend of traditional Vietnamese cuisine and modern flair. The ambiance is warm and inviting, with a mix of rustic decor and contemporary touches that create a cozy yet stylish dining experience.
The menu features a variety of dishes, but the standout for me was the pho, which was rich in flavor with perfectly tender beef. The fresh herbs and spices added a wonderful depth that truly showcased the essence of Vietnamese cooking. I also tried their summer rolls, which were light and refreshing, with a delightful peanut dipping sauce.

The restaurant is not in the famous halal street near by Ben Thanh. It is at the back row of all the halal restaurants, facing the main road. Serves good selection of halal food at a reasonable price

I ordered the Tahu Telur and it was really tasty. That's actually the second time I ordered it in less than 2 weeks! As a vegetarian, finding tasty dishes is always such a comforting experience! My friend ordered spring rolls and the vegetarian soup, both also tasted great! Would recommend this restaurant, the chef is very nice, he remembered us even though the place is very busy.

We had chicken curry and beef Pho and it was amazing, lots of chicken in the curry and one of the best sauces I’ve had! Really good quality beef in the pho and the broth was perfect. Owner was a nice gentleman, answered questions about his food and was clearly very proud. Would come again straight from the UK!

We were looking for a halal spot where we could eat halal pho. We stumbled into the daun and got a very friendly welcome. We had the beef pho with fried chicken breast. We liked the food because of the flavors also everything tastes fresh. We can totally recommend this spot for halal and non halal foodies

I might be biased since I am a Vietnamese but our Com Tam is still the best rice dish but this is close. The meal was delicious, a bit too much fried food for someone who is watching their cholesterol level. One thing I really like is that they make the sauce very flavorful like many of our Vietnamese sauces.

Food is okay but very pricey when pay in Myr. Please pay with dong if you guys planning to eat here. 2 dishes cost me MYR50 🥹 Nasi ayam penyet & Nasi goreng seafood with 1 mineral water. The chicken is reheat i think bcs not fresh . Hm

Small family restaurant, welcomed at door by their young son.Ordered a selection of vietnamese and thai food for our family of 5. All dishes were freshly cooked and were very tasty. Highly recommend!

The food was good! I had fresh spring rolls, roti john, pad thai and avocado juice. Everything was delicious! The chilli paste was unique and tasty too, and my friend purchased a tub to bring back home to our country.

We visited as tempted by the range of cuisines. We chose Vietnamese - pho and Malaysian - tom yum, both of which were packed with fresh flavours and the cheeky plate of fries were a good taste of home too.
The decor is simple and clean and the welcome was genuine and warm.

Small compact but warm restaurant, quick serve, and delicious food. First time trying Local Vietnam Food but Halal, and the taste is basic and it seem very healty food since not much seasoning on it, but we can add spicy on it to make match with my Indonesia taste. Overall is good and will come back when I back to visit HCM.

This is a small restaurant thats being ran by a sweet family. We had fresh spring rolls, Vietnamese pancake and smt Indian that i cant remember the name, and they all were very delicious. Mango smoothie was superb. Staff is very friendly and prices reasonable. Highly recommended!
