What a wonderful resaurant. We went here a couple of times and the service and food was always outstanding! Very interesting and tasty dishes and a good selection of vegatarian options too! The staff are so friendly and make you feel so welcome (even when you don't have a reservation!). Would highly recommended eating here, all for a good cause... More

This is the most difficult review I have done so far. Reason being, that the people that manage this restaurant are volunteers and all restaurant revenues are used to provide training and medical care to the youth. Such a noble cause would earn this place 5 stars however it would misleading because generally the stars rate the food quality and... More

I've just read about 20 of the latest reviews of Romdeng, and I honestly don't know what to think! My experience here was not at all like I've been reading about. The only night we could visit was a Monday night. Maybe that makes the difference? I was so looking forward and was so disappointed, not only with the food... More

Eat here and help street youth gain experience that enables them to pursue dignified livelihoods. The food is quite good, some of the best we had in Cambodia over a 9 day visit.

This place is fantastic, great service, great food and local delicacies such as the red ant beef curry which was wonderful. Visited 3 times during my trip, and would highly recommend you do too!

I love the concept of this restaurant! The food and cocktails are delicious too. After having lunch at Friends the Restaurant, I couldn't wait to try dinner at Romdeng in Phnom Penh (followed by Marum in Siem Reap, which I also recommend). As two people we were lucky to get in without a booking, but saw many people turned away... More

We were lucky to have this restaurant on the door step of our hotel. We ate here 3 or 4 times and each time the food was excellent especially the stuffed squid. The service from the young staff was very good and closely monitored by their teachers. Eating here is made more enjoyable knowing that you are helping to give... More

Although a little out of our way this restaurant was perhaps a 10 minute (no more) tuk tuk ride from our hotel on Street 240. It was well worth a visit. Serving traditional Cambodian cuisine at incredibly reasonable prices, the setting and atmosphere were fantastic. The service was a little slow but the staff were so friendly, and whilst waiting... Having enjoyed a good meal at sister restaurant, Friends, the previous evening, we decided to try Romdeng, which was just across the road from our hotel. We should really have booked since the place was very busy when we arrived. They did manage to squeeze us in, but the only table available was on the edge of the children's play... More

What a disappointment. By far the worst khmer meal I've had. Do not believe the hype if you want Cambodian food eat where the locals eat you won't be disappointed. The food flavours have been adjusted to suit western palates. I was very disappointed by my meal.

Open Monday to Sunday from 11am to 10.30 Pm (kitchen closes 9.30Pm) Romdeng is set in a beautiful colonial building whose wooden carvings, tables, chairs and unique lights were all hand made in Cambodia. The silk goods and cushions adorning Romdeng were made by our students in sewing training at Mith Samlanh and its walls are hung with beautiful paintings produced by young people from the art classes there. All of this plus a pool, free WIFI, a family area and a gift shop mean a visit to Romdeng is a must.

We would like to inform you that ROMDENG Restaurant will be closed for Khmer New Year and will reopen on the 6th of May 2014.
