On the evening we went there were not many people in the restaurant so it lacked some ambiance, but the serving staff were really helpful and pleasant. We had outstanding fried spring rolls and beef ginger but we felt that the fish amok, although good, could have done with more flavour. The wine was good and reasonably priced. Overall a... More

Food and service was very very good all at a reasonable price. The Fish Amok and Prawn Amok were excellent, the best we had tasted.

We were surprised that the restaurant was full due to reservations but luckily they had one last table to accomodate us. Everything - especially the spring rolls - was delicious. Service was friendly. Building and decorations are lovely. Very quiet peaceful restaurant. A little pricier than average but the quality is definitely higher so worth it if you are willing... More

We had our last dinner in Cambodia here and it was definately one of the best! Very authentic food, friendly staff in a relaxed colonial setting. Definately try to shrimp cakes and the fried noodles (better than they sound!).

Was recommended the Sugar Palm by a friend and I'm so glad that she did! The food was delicious, the restaurant nice, clean and with good decor and the staff friendly and attentive. The spring rolls and chicken satay were tasty and I tried the Khmer curry which had lots of flavour. Such a shame that this restaurant is a... More

I had a lunch at the sugar palm located in a typical old house in the middle of the city. You can taste the Khmer flavours in a spacious room watching the daily life along the street--- a visit worth !!!

I've eaten at The Sugar Palm in both Siem Reap and Phnom Penh. Food great at both but I would particularly like to recommend the Phnom Penh restaurant to ensure it gets the local recognition it deserves. I've had both lunch and dinner in Phnom Penh - the food is very consistent and there are excellent renditions of some of... More
