We came here looking some local food and found that it was ok. We ordered the fish cakes which were a little small but delicious. The stew we ordered was more like a soup and nothing to write home about. We also had the fried mushrooms. Good but get ready for a lot of breading. You can use usd there... More

We ate at this place for dinner. Nice setting on a quiet backstreet, meaning you can sit outside with no traffic whizzing passed. Service was average for Asia, it was slow, food arrived as it was cooked - meaning our rice turned up and began to go cold while we waited for the rest of our food. Also my meal... More

Great food - fresh light flavours and amazing value. Friendly fast service. Always busy - deservedly popular.

Eaten at Lao Kitchen many times and never disappointed. Personal favourite is the fresh spring rolls, followed by duck larb with sticky rice. For the more adventurous try the chicken knees and elbows. All goes down well with a large Beer Laos. Note cash only payment.

I think this is generally the place that tour guides take their groups for lunch because the pricing is great and they offer a massive menu of Lao food to choose from and it's ALL delicious!!! We happened upon Lao Kitchen for our first lunch but when we did a tour on our last day in Vientiane, we were given... More

On the one hand it was a pleasant surprise not to feel like the inside of my mouth was on fire, and on the other hand I found that my Stir-Fry Tofu was a bit boring, bordering on tasteless. I guess we tourists are a hard bunch to please. Initially I tend to judge a restaurant by the quality of... More

This is the perfect place to go to sample authentic tasty Lao cuisine. The open air restaurant has a relaxed and welcoming vibe. Service is efficient and friendly. The menu offers options for customisation of the menu items, especially for tourists. They mark certain dishes with a "T", signalling that you can order the dish without the more adventurous Lao...
