I was excited to try Bistro 22 as I hadn't been there yet and based on the reviews, it seemed like a good french restaurant to check out. The service was okay but you had to flag down the staff to order food or drinks which was odd being that it was a weekend evening and the place was not... More

The reviews said everything to look forward to. It was for my last night in Laos and the place was a bit out of the way but made it out there. The place is difficult to find, and the food was disappointing. It was either going here or Lao Kitchen on my last night and I chose French for a... More

It was finally time to check out Bistro 22 as my time in Laos is coming to an end and I had wanted to try out this French restaurant for some time. We had Gazpacho as a starter and the pepper steak and salmon for main course. Desert was home made ice cream and some nice red and white wine... More

We went there for dinner on our last night in Vientiane. We were very happy with the food and service in this restaurant. They have some good selections of wine that goes well with the food menu. The ambience of the restaurant is quite and homely, and nicely decorated interior. Location is not central but it's still a walking distance... More

One of my favorite places in town. Very good food at reasonable prices. Interesting wine list with normal prices and some very good (and expensive wines). Strongly suggested the steak, it has been always perfectly cooked. The staff is well trained and knows how to take care of the guests and in case of problems the owner is always there... More

Though not a fine dining restaurant it serves good French food. Had Tuna Steak which was very good. Also their beef steak was tender and succulent (very unlike the typical Laotian beef) Overall good experience.

Expected fine dining, but found mediocre. Had the lunch special of the day. Cream of mushroom soup was good. The breaded pork steak was rather tough, although the sauce was tasty. While my daughter enjoyed the sorbet, the caramel pancake was leathery and cold. Don't think we'll go back.

Had a good piece of beef, excellent sauce and a great red wine. Prices are not low but ok for what you get.

We had dinner here on a Saturday night and as we arrived early didn't require a reservation. The restaurant is quite simply decorated and reminded us of a Parisian bistro... and so did the food. As a starter we had the cheese platter and a soup. For mains my partner had a lamb shank and I had a steak tartare.... More
