We would agree with Lyndaandbill that it is hard to reconcile the restaurant with "authentic Spanish fare" but feel they are too harsh about the decor and food! We were greeted by a flurry of activity as the staff, who were sitting on the balcony chatting, raced to their respective places as we got out of the care up the... More

Struggling to know where to begin with this review - so lets just say that the picture of the tables outdoors (above) isn't the same place, though the address is. There is absolutely nothing authentically Spanish about this place, in the slightest, which is probably the nicest thing to say about the establishment. Not the hanging plastic peppers, chillies, or... More

Tapas, steaks, paella and many more delicious dishes await you here. Even if you are in Vientiane on a budget you should give this place a try. Great place for a special evening out with that special someone or for a party of 20 people. Menu has an selection and everything is served professionally and was delicious. Wine list is... More

Have had steak and chicken dishes here 10 times in the last year. Always a perfect meal, great taste and very good value. There is outdoor seating, but the indoor tables have a better atmosphere, especially when the restaurant plays Spanish music. Can't understand why we are often the only people eating here when we go for dinner!!

Pleasant atmosphere great service and good wine range, we ordered by the glass which were about twice the size of a normal serving. Local Lao steak was cooked to perfection and very tender, pleased we didn't pay extra for the imported offering.

i'm a little reluctant to review this restaurant lest more people come. now it's a pleasant place to visit. i don't have to wait for a table and the service is focused. the food is excellent, both the choices and preparation. the wine list offers a reasonably priced variety. the restaurant is tastefully decorated and the staff attendant to our... This restaurant is attentitive to the little things that add up to make a great dining experience. The bread is some of the best in town. The house wine is better than most of the bottles served elsewhere and their bottles are of excellent quality also. The Salade Bodega is a perfect mix of greens, melon and cured ham with... More

Have visited La Bodega on several occasions and have never been let down, the place is in fact French but the owners home town is right on the border with Spain so the food is an interesting mixture of French embraced with a tapas touch. I was recommended the local beef fillet by the owner on one visit as a... More

Highly recommended. Yes a 'little out of the way' by Vientiane standards but please do not let that deter those who like Spanish tapas or appreciate well prepared steak and seafood dishes. Something for everyone on the menu and enhanced by attentive and well trained staff. Has some of the best bread you will find anywhere in SE Asia. More... More

This out of the way restaurant deserves more attention. The atmosphere, the presentation and the food cannot be faulted. When entering and being received, you could believe that you were in a high class establishment. The decor is beautifully themed, fresh flowers at the tables and white linen tablecloths, the table is laid to make you feel it has class.... More
