Traditional Georgian food served by the most wonderful hosts. We loved sharing the intimacy of the table perched in the bay window and chatting to the charismatic owner... what a place!

If you're lucky to (find) visit this architectural town house, ring the doorbell and wait until the owner comes down to welcome you in six or seven languages he speaks fluently.. More exciting than the food & wine is the establishment and the 'young' elderly...More

This restaurant is in a historic Ottoman prison, charmingly renovated by the architect owners, who also serve you and, if you're lucky, serenade you with cabaret-style tunes for piano and voice. As a fancier of Georgian cuisine, I'd say the food is good but not...More

Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal
Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night
and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights,
shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of
people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive
Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of
the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned
restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening
