Superb, easily one of the best dining experiences I have ever had in Turkey - and I have lived here for some time now. A great, intimate, cosy place with a wonderful atmosphere and superb dishes. The bride's family were from Antakya, and told us that this restaurant is a regional institution. It is now my favourite restaurant in Istanbul.

Unfortunately I was running late so arrived at Antiochia at 10 pm on a Monday night. Considering the time and day, the restaurant only had a couple of occupied tables. The service was very good and attentive. I had the Sis and it was delicious. The bread they served with the dish was so good!

We visited this part of Istanbul incidentally. We were very lucky to 'end-up' at the Antiochia, the food and service were second to none in the area!

We read about this restaurant on Lonely Planet, Tripadvisor and Blog and we had better expectations. Appetizer was warmed up and not fresh made, we got 2 meals that were pretty heavy ! The atmosphere was really nice, service was great and wine as well!

Friendly welcome and service at this great restaurant upstairs in a side street. Food was excellent: a delicious selection of meze, particularly good wrapped kebab and some interesting dessert. Reasonable value too. Recommended.

We had dinner here at the end of a weeks holiday in Istanbul. A bit hard to find but well worth the effort. They were fully booked but managed to find a table as long as we finished by 9pm - ok by us. We shared the meze plate the grilled chicken and a huge tomato salad. All fantastic and... More

The food experience was excellent, it was quiet ,cozy restaurant. It was more like a modern Turkish restaurant where you can taste all kinds of grilled meat ! Highly recommended 👍🏻

It is an experience that i think everybody should have. It is one of a kind food adventure. It is even better than its origins where it is based on the the food from Antakya...

Staying in Beyoglu

Neighbourhood Profile
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.
