There are a few locations of Hafiz Mustafa 1864 throughout Istanbul and we tried a location near Galata Tower and had our hotel near this location so we stopped in to grab some stuff to bring home. They have Turkish delight, coffee and some nice Turkish tea (siyah çay) and sell everything in nice tins. I was doing some research online and it recommended this shop to bring snacks home to share with family and friends. The Turkish delight is sold by weight and the small tins start around 10 Euros. The tea I picked up was around 6 euros and my wife was very happy with the tin I brought home. You can get cake and Turkish sweets at the counter or you can go upstairs and ask for a table for a sit down experience. Their menu mostly specializes in sweets, coffee and tea but it provides a good break anywhere in the city and we would say the prices are reasonable but a bit more because you're paying for the brand. This location is close to Serkeci metro station and the tram stops right in front of the shop. They are a short walk to the waterfront and about 15 minutes to the area with Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque. If this location is busy there is another location about a 2 minute walk away and there are quite a few in the area too.

I was very happy with your business and the taste of your desserts and the atmosphere made me very happy. And the attentiveness and care of Mr. Adnan, an employee at your property in the Sirkeci district, were very delightful. Good work, good day, thank you very much.

You can’t go wrong with Memory Mustafa. This is the third location I’ve visited during my vacation. The quality is exactly the same in stores. The service was the best I've had in Memur Mustafa. Very friendly and lovely. I also poured the sauces on plates. There’s a lot of people coming to this location, so the wait times are a bit longer. The gelated chocolate baklava was delicious, and the tea was always a must. We just got some for home. I look forward to the next vacation to eat them again. So you can't really go wrong with Hafiz Mustafa. This is the third branch I have visited during my vacation. The quality is exactly the same as in the stores. The service was the best I have experienced in Hafiz Mustafa. Very friendly and nice. Also poured the sauces off the dishes. The waiting times are a little longer because many people come to this branch. The chocolate baklava with ice cream was very tasty and tea with it is always a must. We immediately bought some for home. I'm excitedly waiting for the next vacation so I can eat these delicacies again.

All in all, it's not bad, the sweets are fresh and delicious, but a few things really annoyed me: - We were always reminded to give a good review. - The waiters were bossed around every time and we as guests didn't feel comfortable. I would strongly recommend that everyone not force people to give a good review. The review should be honest and come from you.

We stayed overnight twenty days ago and everything we ate was delicious. Since we wanted a table, they put us on the list, we didn't wait long and they gave us space on the third floor. I understand that due to the number of clients, the service has to be fast. We ate classic baclava, baclava with nuts, a mix of various sweets with nuts and a kunefe on a wooden tray with chopped pistachio and a syrup to pour into it. Very crunchy and tasty. The delicious mint lemonade and my sparkling water in a nice bottle. The impeccable collaborators, the display cases with the variety of sweets they offer are very provocative, the services clean and the design of their bags and boxes, very well cared for.

Hafiz Mustafa has several outlets in Istanbul and this appears to be one of their bigger (and busier) location. They occupy several floors and the ground floor sells locum, baklava and cakes for takeaway. If you’re dining in, there’s a lady at the steps who will direct to the upper floors. If you get a window table you get a nice view of the busy street. Prices are definitely on the higher end.

A must try dessert shop in Istanbul. We visited after dinner while on a stroll and can highly recommend it. Although it was very busy, we didn't have to wait at all and found a table immediately. I went for Kunefe while my wife went for Sultan Tabagi. The pastries here are amazing for a chain restaurant and quality is in par with many sweet French pastry alternatives. Overall it cost us around £15 including teas, highly recommended!

We had special attention and attention, the customer was valued, and the flavors were legendary, the broth was incredibly crispy and soft, the tea was called, and the coffee was just fine. We also appreciate Mr. Adnan’s interest and concern. 👍

We came as a total of 4 friends between 23.00 and 01.00 on 08.09.2023 - 09.01.2023. We sat on the 3rd floor. The desserts and tea were very delicious, but especially the service, especially the interest of your employee named Engin Can, his behavior and his representation of you were very nice. We were very pleased. Also Ms. Milkan's meticulousness and work on cleaning made us very happy and we felt very comfortable. Thank you very much :))

We took a much needed midday break here. We went to the Sirkeci location and went up to the third floor with a nice view. Super crowded but table turnover is quick and they also have to-go items. The manager was so sweet and friendly. He gave recommendations on what to eat and was running around checking on other tables. Bathrooms aren’t the cleanest but it’ll do. We had the pistachio baklava with dondurma, kunefe, and some chocolate baklava. The dondurma baklava was so indulgent, you'll need to share it. I'm not a huge kunefe fan but my friends loved it. The cheese tasted like mozzarella, so it was more savory than sweet to me. Chocolate baklava was only slightly chocolatey, so you really don’t need this one if you’re getting another baklava. 980 tl for 3 desserts, coffee and tea Absolutely recommended

Excellent pastry (the best in Istanbul according to some). It offers Turkish delights and especially baklawas. Very good value for money: bakalwas contain pistachio and are made in different ways and with different tastes. I took an assortment box of 30 pieces (1kg) for less than €30.

Hafiz Mustafa bags carrying take away desserts and products can be seen on people’s arms throughout Istanbul. It is an historic institution in the city, and I found out why it has its longevity. I sat in and had a pistachio and chocolate based dessert and Ottoman Coffee, which were both delicious. The staff provided a warm welcome and were friendly throughout. All things considered, 5/5 and a must visit!

Loved it! Some very tasty baklava, exceptional turkish tea and good service. Lovely atmosphere although a bit crowded - to be expected of course. This is where you go to get proper, genuine turkish delight and baklava. Highlight was the ice cream served optionally with the baklava, very unique and complimenting. Highly recommend.

We came here on recommendation to eat Turkish desserts. The four of us chose different desserts and the waiter gave us very good advice. Everything was very fresh and tasted excellent. There was even a small bottle of water with the Turkish coffee.

Great place for lunch or dinner - with dessert!!!! You can grab a cake or something else and eat your fill. It is not immediately clear that there are two floors above, this needs to be corrected (we stood in line when we could have gone up straight away)

Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
