Tourists love this restaurant for a reason. I stayed here as a bit of extra luxury when my wife met up with my teenage son and I on our 10,000-mile cycle expedition from Ireland to Japan (book: Long Road, Hard Lessons). My wife loved this...More

This modern little cafe made the best cappuccino/espresso I found in Istanbul and is a really nice place to just sit and and relax. Walk down the hill from the Blue Mosque and look for the Illy sign.

an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an
overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a
prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly
epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the
Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this
relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to

Really great little coffee shop just down the hill from the Blue Mosque in Istanbul. Fatih makes a great capuccino for TL5, the best I had in Istanbul (email: fatihak-bulut@hotmail.com). Really nice clean and new place, quite different from other coffee shops in Sultanahmet. Look for the Illy coffee sign.
