I get pissy when traveling and waiters give me the bill and say in English, "Service is not included." The waiter did this to me about 30 minutes ago and I almost responded "So? Do Turkish people tip? Is this America? Do you really think the service was really good?" He saw my 50 lira note in hand well before... More

It is a pleasure to try Sutis desserts. We tried two baklava dishes and one Kunafa with cheese. Turkish tea is a must. Amazing taste and ambience.

This is a very nice nice kebap restaurant near Taksim Square. All kebaps are worth trying. They are not spicy, quite moderate, almost refined for non Turkish customers. Still very tasty and excellent service.

I go into Sutis every year... service is friendly and food is served quickly. They do a good Lahmacn and Ezogelin soup. The Gazandibi (chicken and milk pudding!!) is one of the best I have had. Good to find some home-style cooking in the busy Istiklal Street. Prices are very reasonable! PS...They have fast wi-fi connection which is an added... More

I have literally eaten in this restaurant everyday during my last 6 days vacation to Istanbul, they serve the best Kebap, their doner kebap is coal grilled and sooo yummy. The place is clean, the staff are polite and friendly, the service is quick and the location of the restaurant is great. We have also tried the take away service... More

We stopped in here for lunch with friends. The place smelled wonderful of baking bread. We ate the spices lamb and spices beef Kabobs as well as delicious cheese bread. Great eats for good price, fast and courteous service.

On my way back to airport bus, in Istiklal caddesi, we decided to have a break here at Sutis Kebap Dunyasi. The service is fast and waiters are kind and gentle. There is a huge variety of kebap. I had a pistacho kebap, with a salad. All in all the meat was good and the bread just baked. The price... More

Neighbourhood Profile
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.
