I went to this cafe after a recommendation, it looked very cosy inside I ordered carrot cake and flat white but I couldn't work out why l was given an English menu? I believe these guys try to rip off tourists as the slice of cake was 20 lira... Which was over priced for the quality of the cake.

It has a fantastic setting inside and outside. Especially In the evenings, it would be very nice to drink coffee or something. 15 minutes walk to karaköy ferry pier

I just paid 11 TL for coffee and 7 TL for a small bottle of water. Been there several times before but will never step foot in again.

Cafe itself is perhaps slightly overrated, but the area is a gem in Istanbul. Get lost amidst the cobble-stoned streets. You’ll see a lot of new, modern cafes and restaurants located in the maze-like streets where locals enjoy cups of coffee while reading their newspapers or hanging out with their friends. Karabatak is agood example.

Great neighborhood to walk around, this popular cafe is the perfect pit stop, with indoor and outdoor seating. It is always pack. Perfect for people watching. Price is slightly higher than average.

I've been there only once and that was more than enough. We liked decoration inside and decided to sit but lots of tables were reserved even at 17:00 pm which was weird. Somehow they offered a nice place inside and we ordered 2 christmas teas. It took nearly 20 minutes to brought them and 3 different waitresses asked us what... More

We sat outside in the shade, under the vine that covers up the whole street, and had a lemonade and iced tea in a hot day. Perfect! Relaxed and best place for people watching. Also had a Turkish coffee that surprisingly was not good at all. Who cares! This cafe is fabulous

Staying in Karakoy

Neighbourhood Profile
Karakoy
Sitting pretty with an age-old air about it, Karakoy is situated on the European side of the Bosphorus at the mouth of the Golden Horn. Perhaps the city’s most historically significant area, it’s currently one of the most happening parts of town as well. Here street vendors and alfresco fish restaurants line the banks of the Horn where the views of major attractions across the water rival Karakoy’s own key attractions, such as the iconic 14th century Galata Tower and the Museum of Modern Art. A major hub for local and international waterborne traffic, Istanbul’s commercial and maritime heritage remains as relevant and evident as ever in Karakoy. Commuter ferries mingle with luxury cruise liners at its busy port, ensuring a continuously cosmopolitan flow of people..
