It is a cozy place. We enjoyed a good time, we smoked shisha with some beers. We haven't eat anything.

Nice atmosphere with traditional live music and nargila (try the Harabe'be special mix). Also very friendly staff, good Mojitos. Been there several times

We just wanted to smoke a shisha but then some of the visitors started to play guitar and to sing. It was incredibly good and so we stayed for hours. The tea and drinks were also very good - we did not had any food so we cannot say anything about this. Would (and did) definitely come back!

This restaurant has a great atmosphere. Good food too. Lots of typical Turkish dishes. Nice decor especially the lanterns at night. Good value.

Harab'be is an extremely friendly and wonderful cafe down an alleyway near Sultanahmet. Everyday we were treated to a warm welcome and great drinks and a really good selection of Nargile if you wish to do so. Very quiet, peaceful, and shaded which is perfect for a hot day. Please seek this place out if you come to Istanbul please... More

Harab'be is that magical place when you travel, where you find yourself gravitating back to. Teamed with the cozy and authentic atmosphere you will find yourself settling into Istanbul life. Harab'be was is down a alley off a main drag. The main drag is littered with restaurants for tourist and hosts trying to pull you in for an 'authentic' Turkish... More

Found this place almost by mistake- best mistake ever. We ended up coming here each night for the rest of our stay in the old city. The herbal teas are amazing. Selection of hooka is excellent- we tried various blends each visit- the apple and strawberry were two of our favorites. We enjoyed sitting in the quaint outdoor seating area.... More

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
