It is a nice place next to the sea side. Food is great .it is expensive but worth it. They have nice selection of beers. Staff. When it is not busy they do good. When it is busy you need to show some effort :) to get attention.but over all staff is nice and do their best.

We were staying at the Shangri La hotel so this was our local pub for the weekend. The service was excellent from the waiters, really attentive and eager to chat and help. We didn't really eat here but did have a bowl of the Spicy Potato Wedges to share one afternoon and they were delicious, piping hot and served with... More

I know, I need 100 words but I think the title says it all. We stopped here to have a beer. Place was not busy, service was slow, when we asked for the menu to look at it, the waiter disappeared for 10 minutes. We ordered, it came 5 minutes later, and the waiter was disappointed we did not want... More

Ate here twice on our way in and out of Rome. Flew ORD to Istanbul. Service is sloow here, but the western snd Turkish food was good. They have a decent bar and beer selection. Note if you are an international arrival, find your way upstairs and out of the hell hole that is the tarmak level intl departure lounge.... More

A restaurant that has this position right on the Bosphorus and who cannot think that food goes better with wine, should not exist!

I'm a coeliac so from the get go we were in trouble. This was impossible to communicate and the waiter did little to try understand. I had to chase them around the restaurant just to order. The menu is the EXACT same as the Greenport right next door which I find hilarious. They must share the one kitchen and just... More

Stopped by for a beer and to relax for a while. Draft beer, which is sometimes difficult to find in Istanbul was great - most peolpe seened to be drinking draft beeer which was a good sign. This is a fairly basic bar/cafe but situated at the busy ferry port there is lots to watch. I did not eat here... More

Came here with my wife and a friend on 20 August, 2015. Tabletops were sticky and hazy with I do not know what. We ordered two iced Lattes and a Raspberry Milkshake at 9.50 Lira a pop. We waited a half hour for our drinks before asking the waiter what happened to our orders. He didn't know. Seriously. I called... More

the WORST idea ever to stop there!!! well, except if you are planning just to go there to read a book or two and don't mind dirty tables...you are not going to be "disturbed" by waiters:))) there were 5 of them at the bar doing absolutely nothing...ignoring the customers...just don't go there:))

The server seemed annoyed at me that I stopped by for a meal. It took a long time to get her to take my order. It took even longer for my shabby meal. It gave me time to look around and notice the place was filthy. The tables needed to be wiped down, the floor was sticky, and the music... More

Staying in Besiktas

Neighbourhood Profile
In Besiktas, skyscrapers compete with palaces for space in an upscale vista replete with hilly green parkland filling in the margins. Step into this rather wealthy neighbourhood and discover a rich mix of opportunities to shop, dine, and be entertained. For folks in search of urban buzz, not to mention a constant reminder of just how important Istanbul’s waterways are to its rich history, there's the frenetic Besiktas ferry terminal or the city’s most vibrant fish market to explore. For a timeout of metropolitan proportions, head to the bucolic Yildiz Park or the chic Bosphorus-side fishing village of Ortakoy. Attractions such as the grandiose Dolmabahce Palace and a bevy of other stately residences await admiration. To be sure, this large and not overly touristy swath of Istanbul yields plenty of pleasure for all.
