This was a good and expensive Turkish restaurant in Kanyon, Levent. There are other branches in the old part of Istanbul but this one is now closed and there is another restaurant called Escale in its place.

Konyali is one of the oldest restaurant chain in Istanbul The standard is out there and no discussion about their food quality and its authenticity This place in Kanyon brought Konyali to another level. I ate there today and confirmed once again that if you want to bring your guests for Turkish dining in a decent ambiance , this is... More

Food mostly very good but portions small. The vegetarian dolma were a high point but tiny portions. I grilled fish was excellent, artichoke was overcooked and mushy, salad was fresh but came with no seasoning or dressing of any kind. Service was good. They have homemade "serbet" fruit drinks. The rose hips was my favorite.

Lovely quality traditional Turkish dishes. Pretty well priced and the service was very attentive. Would visit again if I was in Istanbul.

After I visited the Topkapı palace, we had lunch at Konyaaltı Kanyon, which was overlooking the İstanbul Bosphorus. The meals are very quality and the atmosphere is fantastic. All in all, everything was fine.

great authentic, Turkish cuisine. Tried the lamb kebab that comes with grilled aubergines and zucchini as well as their truly amazing walnut baklava and rice pudding (Sütlaç). it was nice that they had an outdoors area to enjoy the wonderful September breeze. service was very friendly and good

We visited this reastaurant just before a movie at Kanyon Shopping Center. The area is wide open on the outside part of the mall. You can breathe full air since you are in the open. I got cacik with green peppers (cold yoghurt soup), Turkish style. Very Successful. Then I got 'Hunkar Begendi' which means 'the Sultan liked it' !... More

The doner kebab was excellent.. So was the vine leaves with cherries! In fact, everything we ordered was excellent! I highly recommend this place for lovers of Turkish cuisine.

Konyali has been established at the end of 1800's. I was a customer at Sirkeci, in their Milliyet newspaper restaurant, Topkapi Palace and Kanyon. Design and interiors improved, so are stoneware and glassware, and also little surprizes such as sherbet they offer before your coffee however the food is very ordinary. Tradition is there.but you certainly expect more after 100... More

Staying in Sisli

Neighbourhood Profile
For much of Istanbul’s history, Sisli and the area just north of Taksim Square were open countryside used mostly as hunting grounds. These days, Sisli and its chic streets are considered the very heart of contemporary Istanbuli life, where an epicenter of fashion and a thriving business district meet to create an expressly “downtown” feel. Though largely a residential neighborhood, luxury hotels, fine dining restaurants, and upscale shops abound with many of them situated inside or nearby Cevahir Istanbul, the biggest shopping mall in Europe and second biggest urban shopping mall in the world. Shopaholics and fashionistas travel from near and far to browse the area's mix of major global brand items and creations by popular Turkish designers.
