I have been searching and searching for a truly, authentic, " italian " pizzeria in this city and I finally found one! Not Turkish Italian, not Dominoes or Little Ceasars..and not the over-priced mostly Italian pizza from Eataly at the Zorlu Centrum, but the real, honest taste of Roma and Milano and Napoli. And Pido's is all of that and... More

This is a long standing establishment, hidden off a main street in the Taksim Square area. It has kept it's charm, service, good food and drink for the past five years I've been going here. This last time the salad was fresh and delicious. The selection of wine and pizza were spot on. I invited a friend from out of... More

If you are looking for a superb Italian styled pizza in Istanbul, you'll find it at Pizzeria Pidos. Great selection of wines accompanied by tasty pizza's prepared in a traditional wood burning oven makes for a great evening. A bit of a challenge to find, but well worth the visit.

i think the title is clear enough. the reastaurant is offering a prosperous menu for pizzas and pastas. it has also satisfactory alternatives for starters. but there is not enough alternatives if you're looking for something else for dinner. waiters are also helpful and the atmosphere is coherent with the concept as it makes you feel like you're eating in... Went for salad and pizza two nights this week, both times at 20:00. Great Italian-style pizza. First night after finishing my salad, maître d' cleared my table. Cook told him I also ordered pizza. maître d' brought back the salt shaker(!) So, what? Nobody usually orders two things?? Two days later returned because I loved the food and atmosphere. After... Great pizza in decent surroundings with excellent service. The funk and soul mood music was brilliant. That's all I'm saying. Just go you'll dig it.

I went here twice, on the first occasion I had a fantastic pizza, and opted for the salmon on my second visit. On both occasions the food was excellent, good value, and well presented. It is one of the few places where a true dry white wine can be found in Istanbul. Staff are professional, polite, and friendly. Located just... More

Fantastic place with great Italian food, quick and friendly service, and nice atmosphere. A bit difficult to find but obviously popular among locals and expats.

Just 150 meters off busy Taksim square is this very nice Italian inspired restaurant. We had thin slices of the most tender beef. Will go back for pizza later during our stay in Istanbul. Good service, nice wine recommendation and tasty deserts.

Neighbourhood Profile
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.
