Daniela is the best host you can imagine. The food is great. Reccomended to travellers who want to discover some Gerusalem athmosphere out of the schemes.

in the attept to take the culinary capital title away from Tel Aviv JLM is moving its centers around all the time from Nahalat Shivva to The First Station to Mahane Yehuda after dark/ This place keeps it classical JLM food level even though its area is declining. Great food and atmosphere. Some nights with live jaazi music Worth reserving

My favourite restaurant in Jerusalem! Has a very unique and authentique kind of old school atmosphere not to be found anywhere else. The menu is diverse and the dishes are made very well! Also a big alchohol selection. Very highly recommended!

Barood is located in a nineteenth century house in central Jerusalem. Finding it requires some skill, but it's worth it. The interior consists of all kinds of antiques and memorabilia. The food includes standard dishes like steaks, shrimps, fish etc. As well as traditional Jerusalem-Sepharadi dishes. The food is good, "comforting" and rather-reasonably priced. The variety of alcohol and the... More

Tried this restaurant (following reviews by TripAdvisor) last week. Excellent experience, well recommended. A small but very cosy warm restaurant. Personnel and owner are very friendly. Server guided us with our choice which was excellent - portions were good, and the food tasty. We enjoyed the evening there. At the end of evening, we met the owner Daniela, who also... More

Good atmosphere in a very nice place in downtown Jerusalem. Personnel is very friendlly but do not expect the traditional middle east food. Recipes are taken from other traditional cuisines, so you can even have "stufado" beef and cheesecakes. Beers are very good (local beers) and they also serve wines. Not bad but a bit too expensive.

One must know of the place and exactly where it is - if one ever wants to get there. Barood, in the very heart of Jerusalem - 31 Jaffa Street, Feingold Court -is a warm, homey, absolutely different Bar and Restaurant. It offers special home made dishes in a fantastic hidden spot in the busiest part of the city. It... More

This is a small place, in general you will find place for 1 or 2 persons but, if you intend to arrive with a group, you would need to reserve the places beforehand. Once there, it is such a good experience! The place is decorated in a very warm, nostalgic place, you suddenly may remember all the collections that you... More
