We went there for a quick meal for a family. The waiter offered us a "family deal" as he called it - 70 NIS for some salads and mixed grill. The food was nothing special- but at that time we thought it was ok for the price. When the check came he wanted 70 NIS per person! All 4 in... More

This is an excellent place to stop for a meal along the Via Dolorosa(across from the Austrian hospice and Armenian Church Station). I had a very tasty salami pizza with a garlic hot sauce(recommended) that is some of the best hot sauce I've ever had(Owner told me it's a homemade family recipe). The Staff is friendly, engaging and the service... More

Basti is located across from the Austrian Hospice. They have quaint tables located right on the Via Dolorosa. It is the perfect place to get a fresh juice (pomegranate, lemon mint, carrot, etc) or a Turkish coffee and people watch. We loved this place so much we had lunch there twice on our trip. The lamb kabobs were amazing, but... More

Our tour guide brought us here to eat. We were able to choose from two types of pizza. The pizza was fine, not bad at all. The mint lemonade was wonderful!

Been there with my family. This is a traditional arab stret restaurant. Nothing special, the food is average, good for a quick cheap bite. Note that the food was ok, there was nothing wrong with it, however it was very average like any other arab place.

We went there because many people recommended this restaurant but honestly the food isn't tasty. 2 pizzas and one shawarma for 150 NIS.

We had a pizza, mixed salad, a greek salad and a cola for the two of us. The pizza had a rich topping of cheese, tomato and pine apple. Really good. The salads were fresh and the portions were just about right. The total bill was 105. No credit cards accepted.

They serve good food and will certainly fill your tummies. They offer a wide range of menus to choose from.

We were 5 friends eating at Basti. When we were looking at the menu, the owner approached us and "offered" us a "deal" to save money. The deal ended up being a scam. He served us less food than if we had ordered from the menu and charged us more. The salads were tasteless and the bread was simply uneatable.... More

This restaurant is a traditional Arab one in the old city, close to the Muslim quarter and the Antonia fortress. You'll find it coming from the Damascus gate, after the big market. The restaurant is very simple and typical, with a family environment. If you stop in front of the restaurant, the waiter will come out to invite you and... More
