I took four people here for an experience of local food, although the food passed the price did not, we were not given a menu and when the bill arrived extra items were added, as I live in Israel the portions were small and the price big more than double elsewhere, ask for a menu confirm the price or you... Don't ask for a menu here, they don't have them. But no matter, the choices are simple: Arab-style hummus , falafel and local mixed salad. The food was delicious and the service friendly.

I am going there frequently with those who want to experience a REAL local restaurant in the Old City of Jerusalem. It is right on the Via Dolorosa so it fits most of the touring programs in the Old City.

This is my 7th trip leading folks to Israel. This is a must stop every time! Our group of 20 along with our guide Hani Salameh enjoyed an amazing feast of fresh pita, hummus, ful, falafel and salads. Right off the Via Dolorosa, its a great little rest stop.

Abu Shukri is good (not great in my opinion) hummus in the Old City. Authentic Middle Eastern atmosphere where the hummus is made to order. If you're from outside the Middle East, you may think this is the best hummus you have eaten, but if you look at other places in the Old City ( Lina or al Arafat) it... More

We had a Snack lunch in Abu Shukri´s Restaurant which is located at Station V of the Via Dolorosa. The Food is ok; if you need more to eat then you will be served a second or a third time. Food is tasty. The place is a Little bit crowded because many tour operators have choosen this place for their... More

If you are in the old city at lunchtime, seek out this place. We ordered one falafel, one hummus and two drinks, and it only cost us 50 ILS. It may be more than locals pay elsewhere, but it seemed reasonable to us tourists. The hummus is praised in The Lonely Planet, and it was very good. Creamy and flavorful,... More

Abu Shukri was good, the best hummus we had in Jerusalem by far. (However, as our innkeeper in Arbel attested, Akko, has the best hummus of all!!!)

I was here with my 15-year old daughter. I asked for the menu to know the price, but that was not there. We ordered together one falafel, one houmous and two drinks and we had to pay 70 ILS (18 euro's). Far to expensive!!!
