We happen to be in a cab when I mentioned to my husband that I was hungry and we would have a hard time finding a place to eat because of Shabbat. Our cab driver told us he knew of a place and we agreed to let him take us there. It was in east Jerusalem and we were a... More

We arrived as we booked the day before and were shown to a table in a corner set for one in a deserted restaurant. The menus were brought to us and left on the table but the wine list only had 3 choices . The waiter seemed disinterested in service and disappeared. We left as there did not seem much... More

The portions of fairly mediocre food were large. The lamb was well seasoned but fatty with gristle. The mezze to start were just ok. Sitting outside was fun and our server was ok though he left the appetizer plates on the table long after we were done. . For 250 shekels per person the food should be much better.

I took my group of 20 to Pasha for lunch and was not disappointed. I have included a photo which says it all. We started with a table FULL of sides. Wonderful hummus, ful, salads, various pickles, etc. This was followed up with WONDERFUL lamb skewers and lamb chops that were perfection. Wonderful local culture as groups of men and... More

Staying at a hotel fairly nearby and wanting to try some traditional Palestinian food, I did a web search and came across this place. The site makes it seem so friendly, so incredibly cultural, so...wow. So I walked there and entered the dining room (it's kind of hard to know whether you have walked in the wrong door) and immediately... More

We stayed at the Olive Tree Hotel in East Jerusalem on Christmas eve and asked for a dinner recommendation. They recommended Pashas. The way there was a bit decrepit but once we got there we were in for a treat. The salads were perfect, with a zesty lemony freshly chopped Arabic salad. For entrees we chose a fish, the Dennis... We opted for the salad selection and meat and chicken mixed grill. The variety of "salads" (more like appetizers) was wonderful ranging from garlic mashed potatoes, tomato salad, parsley salad, baba ganoush, felafel, hummus and more. The mixed grill had ground lamb, lamb chops (superb), and chicken. A filling and delicious meal.

This place was minutes walk from our hotel and we had been walking all day and so were hungry. We chose entrees of hummus with meat and salad and it was tasty. The Italian red from Veneto was a perfect match for the food, especially the fillet steak with pepper sauce. After 7pm the restaurant was full with a vibrant... More
