We were amazed as Texans at every bite! The delightful surprise of the burst of flavors, the authentic recipes and the generous portions left us ready to return tomorrow. Our server was delightful and very attentive to our every request. Hope they add Migas to their menu! Garcias to the brothers VIP!

By US standards, a good but not outstanding Mexican restaurant. Just the same, we enjoyed our dinner very much, after ten weeks of eating mostly in the mideastern style. I had the ch corn enchilada with the salsa verde, and my wife had the vegetarian burritto and a side order of salad, and of lime rice. Everything was really good.... More

Mexicana is by far the best Mexican restaurant in Tel Aviv specifically and Israel in general - but there are very few of these so... The place is always crowded, more so than ever during peak meal times on Thursday and Friday evenings - which is when we always go there. The service is very professional and the food is... More

Went with a friend during the week for lunch. Not busy as we went just after the normal lunch hours. I had the chicken enchiladas with verde sauce. He had the fish tacos. Very surprised at how good the food was. Our meals came with a side, such as rice, beans, salad or potatoes. Chips and salsa is additional if... More

Nice food - but staff was harassing us for more tips. Amazed and disappointed, will never come back to such rude people.

I went to this restaurant with my girlfriend this past November (2016) and was surprised by what I found. Indeed, this restaurant had more of a hipster vibe than anything. Indeed, this place did not have the feeling of a traditional Mexican restaurant (or even an Americanized Mexican restaurant at that). It seemed to encapsulate the hipster vibe of Tel... More

After almost three weeks of mostly Israeli Food (and Sushi ) it was fun to try this restaurant . I loved the three tiny sample margueritas that they placed on the table and we chose the mango margueriitas . The food was of course tasty and although not quite the same as we are used to , but it was... More

If you have lived in the States or Mexico, don't eat here. The food flavor does not resemble anything like Mexican food in the States or Mexico. Not to bash the place as the service was good and the atmosphere was nice. But the burrito you take a bite out of will not taste like a burrito. The chicken has... More

Description
Mexicana is a restaurant serving ethnic Mexican food in which you can taste a variety of the dishes from an authentic Mexican kitchen as well as much more. The restaurant is characterized by a variety of Mexican tastes mixed with American-style TexMex offerings as well.

On the menu you can, of course, find the usual offerings from the Mexican kitchen including: tortillas, guacamole (avocado spread), frijoles (bean spread), salsas and Mexican cooking sauces such as chipotle, mole, jalapeno and chili. The menu offers a selection of authentic fajitas, burritos, enchiladas, quesadillas and tacos for adults and a separate children's menu as well. With our menu we also offer a variety of house-special margaritas with fresh fruit. We also offer a bar to sample a variety of tequilas and special Negro Modelo beers.

The restaurant is decorated in authentic Mexican style and you can see Mexican motifs all around you (Somberos on the wall, flags and weapons from the Aztec Wars). Also, the color theme comes from the ancient Mexican palate (light blue, cream and red). We play Mexican musician and the atmosphere is both pleasant and welcoming. Perfect for a romantic evening or a family evening
