True, it's been years since I visited Dr. Shakshuka (not March 16, which was the oldest choice available), but when I was posted to the US Embassy in Tel Aviv I'd go to Dr. Shakshuka about four times a year, normally after staying up all night on some special project. The food (I ONLY ever ordered shakshuka there) was always... More

The Dr. is a quack! Selling snake oil! The only thing the Dr. is a master at is marketing! I've been begging my wife to go there with me for 2 years, finally she gave in. The place is filthy! Dirty tables, dust caked shelves, and lousy shakshuka at crazy prices. No pride in what they serve, but charge you... More

Very famous, nice location, but the food is no more than average. Too pricy. Could be mre clean. Food is too fat and very oily. Better Shakshukas can be found in many pther locations in Tel Aviv.

Dr. Shakshuka is a landmark restaurant! If you haven't eaten Shakshuka, it's worth a visit. Personally, I didn't like this popular dish, it's a combination of tomatoes and sauce with fried eggs in the middle and served in a large frying pan. The eggs seemed more raw than cooked to me and so I skipped that part; but the sauce... More

The decor was nice. We had the shakshuka and its the best I've had in Israel so far (had it 4x). Lots of locals which is a good sign. Service was very efficient. Price reasonable.

I like shakshuka very much and came to eat it specifically to this place coz heared a lot about it. Howether was disappointed by attitude of the waiters and shakshuka itself. It looked good, but with a cost of 45 shekels for a serving it could have been at least made of two eggs ( not one) and have some... More

Dear Mariya C, We are grateful for any criticism - but some of data is simply not true. Our shakshuka is always served with two eggs !! 45 NIS is not the classic shakshuka. It's probably not our restaurant you've rated. Anyway we were happy to welcome you anytime. Dr Shakshuka More

We went for the 69 ILS price fixe lunch per person. Way too much food, too expensive. Stick with the original one shakshuka order per diner, enjoy the salads. I liked the dish but at 140, they only bring one order of shakshuka to share and a table of salads, a carafe of lemonade. Glad to have tried it but... More

Dear lanago2, The Lunch deal for 69 NIS is a bit taste of all our menu. this way can share and have some of all. of course you don't have to order it. you can choose out of the basic menu. for 69 you get shawarma as well, much more then just table of salads. we appreciate your feedback. thank... Be warned. This place is very dodgy. Went last night with my family. Was pressured into the business menu. Food came so fast we had plates piling up on our table. No pita or laffa, just white bread. Food was cold and unappetising by the time we got to it. Was unpleasant environment, felt pressured by the waiters all the... More
