Pretty basic, service is quite careless. Taste is OK, decoration is null and probably I would just skip it next time. Lots of locals mainly, so if its your thing, this is your place.

Good place if you want to try traditional local dishes in a clean and more professional place. I had mansaf. Foods however was slightly pricier compared to the cheap local shops in the vicinity. Being a local middle eastern restaurant don't expect service like a westernised place. Don't know what some people were expecting. Just go with the flow. Taste... More

I ate at this restaurant twice and would have to say that there is a good choice of traditional Jordanian dishes. I would recommend the Jordanian traditional dish "Mansaf" a chicken dish served with rice and nuts accompanied with a sauce. Definitely try their wonderful variety of deserts. Great restaurant with a good quick service and value for money.

The restaurant is called Jerusalem as well. Our experience wasn't anything outstanding as they didn't have any of the local dishes I was looking forward to try(magluba, mansaf) at the moment of our visit, hence the rating.. Ended up having half chicken with different vegetables, the food was tasty and the portion huge, payed 5.5JOD, this portion would be enough... More

Ate rice with green peas, slices of lamb, nuts, served with creamy yogurt, pita. It was filling, I do not think I could eat more. Menu in English (ask) and a waiter who speaks. Clean and fast service. Would recommend if you are in the downtown and around the area. Ask store owners exact location.

Very informal, very crowded, a must!!! Excellent food. We were a party of 5 and you find your own table and seats. We pushed two tables together and the waiter promptly presented us with small menus. Four of us ordered Mansaf (the national dish) and one "stuffed neck of lamb". Bread, salad and olives were placed on the table before... More

Food was ok and cheap. But the people who work there were extremely rude, which was suprising for Jordan.

I visited this restaurant in November 2011 during a recent visit to Amman. The restaurant is situated in the heart of Eastern Amman, a few minutes’ walk from the King Hussain Mosque. Despite Lonely Planet claiming no English menu was available, I can confirm there is an English version of the menu available. The staff’s knowledge of English wasn’t brilliant,... More

During my trip to Amman, I stayed at Al Fanar Palace Hotel. Thier staff strongly recommended me this restaurant, which is located in the heart of Old Amman. Actually, except Citadel and Royal Automobile Museum of Hashimite Kingdom, you don't have much more things to do in Amman. This situation is also true for restaurants: you don't have many chances!...
