Falafel and more falafel.. Most excellent falafel, busy place and the churn of customers swift and well managed. Welcoming, incredibly cheap and well worth the visit. Packed with people but nothing takes long at all.

Unless you eat at Hashem's, your visit to Amman is incomplete. Their falafel is finger-licking-good, and you get to experience of the Souq life. This should be on the list of every traveler!

First time visit to Amman and this open air restaurant gets you going into the local cuisine. Try thi, try that. All reasonably priced. Service is quick. Located in older downtown and walking distance to Amphitheater.

It's a local place that our Jordanian guide took us to and would be a real bonus to international travelers! It has fantastic food - the best we had on our 15 day trip to Israel and Jordan. All vegetarian: three different kinds of hummus, stuffed and regular felafel, fresh tomatoes and onions, what we would call French fries.
