Ate with friends. We all had pasta. None if the dishes looked great but mine was probably the worst pasta dish I've ever had. Fettuccine alla Congolese. The clams were an embarrassment. Nothing in them that could be eaten at all. Basically was pasta drenched in oil with a heap of shells. Other guests seemed to like the pizzas though... More

Beautiful terrace and menu is delightful! Everything is delicious and tasty: salads, pizzas, pastas, risottos and desserts. The Chef is from Sicily, the waiters are very nice and I truly believe it is one the Best In Doha.

Living in the GCC, we know how hard it is to find a good pizza. Going with Italian friends to an Italian out of Italy is dangerous. But this place nailed it. We went there a bit earlier in the evening and found out that they would only have pizza at that time. Fast, professional and friendly service on top... More

Having a Friday lunch outdoor at this time of the year is what I appreciated the most in this restaurant. Nothing major in the food to complain about except being served one pizza with burnt base, but they accepted to replace without any hesitation or objection which I appreciate. Having a spinach layer in the lasagna is a great idea... More

I'm a big fan of Italian restaurants and so enjoy trying out the various ones Qatar has to offer. Le Vesuvio has the potential to be excellent. It is a pleasant little restaurant located in Katara Cultural Village right next to the amphitheatre. Three weeks in a row I have visited it- once mid week and twice at the weekend.... More

Description
Named after the famous volcano in Naples, le Vesuvio offers a full menu of exquisite Italian cuisine. The premium quality of food includes piping-hot pizzas from an authentic wood-fired oven. As any self-respecting Italian will attest, the only way that one of the world's most renowned and historic 'fast foods' should be cooked is in the wood-fired method. This delivers a pizza which in terms of taste and authenticity puts the global pizza chains to shame! All of le Vesuvio's cuisine basics are freshly prepared using authentic Italian ingredients to provide a true Italian taste. Its unique location overlooking the beach, and adjacent to the Katara amphitheater, gives le Vesuvio an enviable location from which to enjoy the rustic Mediterranean fare which a great pizza often provides! PLEASE NOTE 5:00PM - 6:00PM, serving pizza menu only
