Beautiful location for afternoon tea

I came here with my husband for the 'picnic tea' aka an afternoon tea which includes a mocktail, tea or coffee and various little canapes, sandwiches and cakes. First of all, the location and view are stunning and really make this a special experience. The Tea Garden is located on the 21st floor with an amazing view all the way around which looks beautiful either during the afternoon or after dark. The interior is also gorgeous in its own right. The staff were lovely and I was impressed by the level of service. I can particularly recommend Aina who served us - she adapted the food to make some items vegetarian, offered refills of water for the tea and was super polite and kind. Service in general in Doha is good and here it was perfect. The food and drinks were all really good and well presented. Lots of varieties of tea to choose from, although be aware that a 2nd tea or coffee is charged as extra, even though the tea is for two people. We really enjoyed almost everything, especially the scones and mini quesadillas. It's not cheap but I think the price is reasonable when you take into account the location, interior and view. By the way - a small tip for anyone who is scared of heights as I am! To come up, you need to take a glass lift which is cool for most people but not if you don't like heights! In that case, you can take the regular lift to floor 19 and climb 2 more flights of stairs. It's still a tad scary but worth it for the view when you get to the Garden.

Tea with a view

We went for afternoon tea at the Tea garden in the Torch today. My favourite afternoon tea has always been the Marriott but I must say this offered something special. We had one picnic high tea and one garden afternoon tea between 3 of us. Despite the Picnic tea being advertised as being for two people only one hot drink is supplied with each one. The picnic high tea is much more savoury heavy and a really nice change. The venue itself is very trendy but it is the amazing view that is the real selling point. Service was good and social distancing was observed. We loved all the food. This would be a lovely place to bring a visitor for something quirky, tasty and a view to die for! Reasonably priced with the Picnic high tea 150 for two persons (sharing a cup of tea) but CBQ customers get a discount if you pay by card.

Simply irresistible

Its been 2 years since the last time i have been to Qatar, and since I'm back one of the placed that I missed the most is the Tea garden resto which is allocated in the 21st floor of Torch building . So yesterday me and my friend decided to take our dinner here and we went around 7PM , I was surprised because the ambiance haven't change , The staff were very welcoming . Especially Mr. Carpio the manager in charge who were very accommodating , We preferred to eat simple and light ,so we ordered Chorizo sliders and Gouda cheese salad and it was great. Rudi the bartender also did a great job on our drinks , I choose Marshmallow chocolate and Strawberry cappuccino for my friend. It was really a great night , I definitely recommend this resto to everyone and I'm surely will be coming back .

A not so welcoming staff..

It was our first visit in this place. Its quiet and nice (just the window is a bit of dusty). But the girls staff are cold and ain’t nice. They’re serving TWG tea ( one of the best tea ) but the smell of the cup is quite awful. We had Pastry Chef’s treat that cost 150 also comes with welcoming drinks and either 1 coffee or a pot of tea. ( food wasn’t great though.) First and last I assume.

Arrogant & Racist Manager

We area Asians, we arrived at the resto around 2:40pm, we seated and supposed to order our food but we were sent out and told to wait at the lobby as the resto will only open at 3PM. However, at 2:50pm, 3 white women came in and were allowed to get in. I stormed-in immediately to complain. Instead of apologizing, the manager (Jay) arrogantly argued that the ladies only came at 3:00pm because he registered it in their log book, although it was only 2:55pm. So, I rest my case with a hurt feelings but I told him that he is a racist and this will not be forgotten. The view is awesome, the service is OK but the food & drinks are basic nothing special. We are not coming back in this resto. The manager (a certain Jay) is racist, arrogant and defensive. Not a customer oriented person.

This resto is a one of a kind ,a side from having a delicious food which I had enjoy the most " chicken lemon grass " the place was perfect and the view was great having picnic hi tea while watching the sunset together with my mom & dad is unforgettable experience and in addition all the staff service were with flying colors from the hostess to the waitress Ibart & Relisa and the Manager in charge who never fail to entertained my parents with kindness . The value of the food is affordable for everyone. I certainly recommend this restaurant

Tea Garden Restaurant at the Torch Hotel is a family favorite for our small gatherings and intimate parties. Their staff is always friendly and dependable and the food is perfect for the whole family. Special thanks to Mae who’s assisted us to make our daughter’s 13th birthday party a blast.

Chillin’ at the Torch Tea Garden

Our Torch Tea Garden overall experience was a delightful and delicious one. Conversely, the burgers and other finger foods that we ordered were surprisingly delish even if these were not aesthetically pleasing and our drinks look nice and even taste good as well. The chill vibe at the Torch Tea Garden plus the friendly staff truly made our visit incredibly amazing. I would like to commend specifically Ms. Maricris and Ms. Christina for being so genuinely accommodating and even offered to take stunning photos as a value add. It is note-worthy to mention the cozy ambience of the Torch Tea Garden and to top it all, the interior design is just lovely. Given this, a repeat visit is compelling.

Wedding Anniversary

We spent our wedding anniversary here at Torch Tea Garden, Its out first time here and boy we are in for a treat, we are very lucky atbthat time that the place is not full as it is always packed. The food is great, very savory and delightful, ambience is awesome along with a great and scenic high view of Doha. All the staff are very friendly and welcoming. Miss Realiza was very accommodating and made sure our experience is as smooth as silk. We will definitely visit again and try some other great food that they offer.

Relaxing ambience and amazing service. We really loved our afternoon tea. For the price of 120 QAR, you get a variety of scones, sandwiches, and sweets. The welcome drink was also tasty and we loved our fresh Jasmine tea. Our server, Christina was also very sweet and attentive. Thank you so much :)

Nice getaway for afternoon tea

After looking at many places to visit in Qatar, we decided that on a Saturday we would take the metro and get to the torch tower. We got a souvenir and decided to go to the 21 floor for tea as it was about 1 pm. We were very impressed with the ambiance, so we were seated for tea, then we placed our orders. With our orders we had welcome drinks which was excellent. We then received our orders and with it we had a rack of wonderful goodies, our tea and a bottle of water each for myself and my husband. I think we got our money's worth, wonderful services especially from Realize and a relaxing atmosphere overlooking the park. I would go back there and also would recommend it. Try it, you will love to go back.

Afternoon Tea

I had the traditional afternoon tea this weekend. This was the third time I have been here for the afternoon tea. I was very disappointed this time. The sandwiches for me are the best part of an afternoon tea but unfortunately the bread was stale and inedible. The fillings were also mediocre, I couldn’t taste any cream cheese with the smoked salmon. The sweets were also tasteless and not appetizing at all. Such a shame as the ambiance is lovely but I won’t be going here again for afternoon tea.

Celebrate our wedding anniversary

The service was super wow, when i told the waiter to take a photo for us for a memory for our anniversary, she prepared the table for us with red baloon and red light, she was so kind, she asked the chef to add statement *happy anniversary* to our chocolate cake plate. The view from the 21st floor of the Torch was breathtaking. We enjoyed our time, going there back soon😍👍🏻

Good food, amazing view and friendly staff

If you’re looking for a relaxing yet a very beautiful spot, this restaurant is the best place to go. We ordered the picnic high tea in a affordable price - everything is so good and tasty. We tried the mix sushi roll as well and we liked everything. Everything was recommended by staff Cristina and Maitré d Moustafa. All of them were nice and accommodating. We will come back for sure. All the best to everyone!
