The best milk gelato, hand made & authentic, with as many nuts on top as u desire. They also serve a smooth, silky, sweet milk-based drink in the winter called SAHLAB, with a dash of ground cinnamon and two bread sticks for dipping. Perfect in the winter cold😋

Bakdash is the mecca of all ice cream parlours. The product is made on the premises. The souk around Bakdash is amazing. A must.

This is the best place for ice cream in Damascus. The dessert is sweet and rich in texture and flavour. A must visit while In Damascus. I really liked the atmosphere and the service.

Visiting Bakdash is an experience. It is not just the ice cream, but the entire ambiance which makes you go back there again and again. The ice cream is hand made and is pounded by hand, and the process is extremely fun and exciting to see. The ice cream comes out with a gelatinous texture and tastes rather interesting. The... More

I really liked the ice cream here but the way everyone praises it I thought I was going to eat something heavenly. But it's good and I recommend it.

When it comes to Ice Cream there are many, many great places to choose from in Damascus. But if you want the most famous and maybe the oldest continually run ice cream operation you must visit Bakdash Ice Cream. It is located in the end of the Al Hamidiyah Souq just before the Omayyad Mosque. Their “Local Damascus Ice Cream”... More

It is really fun to watch those men bang the icecream. The creamy taste of that fresh icecream with pistachios is amazing. I would the only con is having to wait for your turn as it gets really crowded. You might get accidentally pushed by the crowd.
