very busy pub at the port side. Food was ok - ordered a steak which was unfortunately tough and fatty. Nice location.

Seated in the back. Ignored. Waiter listened to half our drink order, then hustled off to a more important table. Over priced, over hyped. Walked out angered.
Stopped in here with friends whilst out on a visit; this is a rustic venue, nothing fancy or pretentious. I thought that the prices were somewhat steep, probably catering for the tourists and visiting holiday makers; the food was good quality, but nothing special. Pleased...that I stopped in with friends for a meal, but not somewhere to drag me back to in a hurry.More
We were visiting Punta del Este for the day and had returned from our visit to the Olive Oil farm and wanted to try one of the much touted sandwich of Uruguay, the Chivito. This place had outdoor seating on a nice day, served Chivitos...and local beer so it was our choice. The greeter was very friendly and welcoming; our server, not so much. Could have been that there were a lot of foreigners on the patio with us, and she was tired of speaking English. The beer, Patricia, was very good. The famous Civito sandwich was huge but a little disappointing for me. I’m sure, being the National sandwich, there are good better and best. This looked great, it the egg and the beef were both dry, and it was supposed to be dripping with Mozzarella and only had a dry piece of cheddar cheese on it. The ham, bread, tomato and condiment were great as were the accompanying fries. There were others eating all kinds of things that we could see. Everything looked good, but the Napolitana looked AMAZING. Civito and Napolitano are to share one serving.More
After midnight, the best place in town. Very tasty food, pro bartenders. If you want to dance, this is the right bar! Pricey, though. Welcome to Punta!
This place has some good menu items (the calamari) and some very forgettable ones (the Chevita). Patagonia beer, a local beer, was pretty good.
The wine we ordered was hella expensive in comparison to other places on the peninsula. The garlic bread we “ate” was 80% garlic (it actually burnt my mouth). The waitress really struggled with life. It’s main strength was it’s location right in front of the...yacht club - where we got to watch loads of ostentatiously rich locals drive around in Ferrari’s.... Better to just go drink on the beach.More
Went to hang out with friends to this Pub. This is the best place for nightlife while in Punta del Este. If you want some drinks, dance or just chill with your friends, this is the place! Watch out if gets really crowded in high...seasons.More
The food is average, the wait staff friendly, the drinks were extremely expensive, music was in English but from the '80's. Not really a place where you go hang out with your friends, but more of an expensive quite experience - like going to Red...Lobster (only the food at Red Lobster is much better).More
I ate here multiple times over a two week period in March 2018. Dicks became our staff meeting place after work. Excellent food and drink, live music, private party rooms, and amazingly friendly staff - loved it. Looking forward to our next company visit to...PDE.More
Nice place with good drinks and music... good people, nice location by the port, was Saturday and was busy
The host was fantastic and was a big reason why I decided to try the restaurant. Her recommendations for beer and food were also good. But the service by the waitresses were terrible - they largely ignored me even though I raised my hand for...attention several times and look extremely unhappy to have been called over to take my order. At the end of the meal, I paid by credit card and expected to see a discount (due to usage of foreign credit card) but was surprised that service charge of more than 10% was added by the waitress without even informing me. The waitress didn’t even have the decency to tell me, I had to ask her when I saw that the bill was higher than expected. By the way, on the bill folio cover, it was stated clearly that tips are not included. What a terrible experience. The food and beer were good (but very expensive) and unfortunately in a place with so many other better options, the service just killed the whole experience.More
Food was ok but not cheap. Rather dark. Main problem is it took three attempts to get the bill right. Waitress gave a shocked look when we failed to give a tip.
Went during low season, so it was quiet, but a cute place to have a few drinks after a busy afternoon sightseeing.
A pub in the middle of Punta del Este. With good music, good beer, and good food. Drinks are a bit expensive.
