The purpose of a restaurant is to serve good food. The view, location, atmosphere, etc. is a nice addition to a good culinary experience. While not conveniently located (impossible to walk there) the place is nice. Typical Uruguayan trendy restaurant: wood painted furniture...nice taste and little else. The music was excellent! But you are not there for the music or... More

La Huerta is run by a trio of enterprising young Argentinians who come to Punta del Este during the summer season from late December to March. The building is set on wooden piles above the sand dunes, built with painted wooden panels and glass around a central tree. It reminds you of a beach hut, but with every convenience -... More

This is a different and interesting restaurant located at the dead end street with beautiful setting. The inspiring menu is attractive. We ordered as entree lamb mollejas which was good, beet salad and ceviche were ok. I ordered Patagonian lamb; food was cold, lamb was dry and hard to swallow. Once again I realized that to make a good restaurant... More

Very tasty food on a relaxed setting overseeing the ocean. The service was friendly, fast and overall effectove. It is a long way from Pta del este( about 1 hr), but worth the trip.

Passing Manantiales. on a dirt road, this restaurant is a lovely place, with delicious food. i had the beet salad with goat cheese as a starter - really filling. Perhaps that´s why my ojo de bife didnt go down so well. Thr eggplant lasagna is also a must. Mostly locals, few foreigners.

The famous chef that also has a place in Punta, Buenos Aires and soon in Rio has this small place in Jose Ignacio, with few, simple and but very well designed and prepared dishes. He is always there to look after the kitchen and also sells home made bread and pastries, as other goodies

We had read some reviews of this place on line but happened upon it late one afternoon while driving by and seeing the road sign. A beautiful small restaurant at the end of a cul-de-sac, it had treetop views and a lovely atmosphere. The food was typical local fare: shrimp, beef, salad, but all the food was delicious and the... I visited this restaurant based on the recommendation from our hotel. We were told it is a relatively new restaurant. A was a little expensive but the food was very good food. I would definitely go back.

La Huerta is a nice bistro, located on rather hidden and poorly lit road. However, once you arrive ate the restaurant you can smell the huerta and you are greeted to a friendly atmosphere. The menu is short. Not many options here! The food is tasty and honest.

Went with friends and family and had a very nice dinner! Excellent the lamb baked in its juice, the fresh salad form the orchard, and the pasta dishes. The fish was not good, too dry to my taste. Warm reception by the staff, they knew the menu well, although our waiter was not very savvy, she asked her colleagues when... More
