Nice selection of tasty tapas. The "tortilla" is great. Everything is freshly made. Also has a good choice of wines.

Is a great place to eat. The best thing is the "sangria" and a must is the "patatas de pobre" and the "tortillas". The place has a great atmosphere.

The last second day in Bogotá, we've decided to have a nice dinner and we found this little gem. It is cosy but the music and the ambiance are both brilliant. The food is absolutely beautiful (but the price is more than average as well). If you have a budget and wanna have a nice relaxing dinner - this will... More

The restaurant is one of the smallest that I have been to. It is in the hip and happening La Macarena area, next to the downtown city centre. The food is (as the title suggests) tapas but with a slight Colombian twist. We had Pulpo (octopus) traditionally done and delicious Chorizo - fried with parsley & lemon - great chorizo... More

Its a big surprise. I just arrived in Bogota and I found this tiny and charming place close to my hostel. Tapas Macarena, the first tapas bar I've been in Colombia. I had a baby pork with avocado and escabeche, spanish tortilla and a glass of red wine. Come and visit. Its a must in Bogota. Great fun and very... More

We had a great lunch here. The tortilla was the best we've ever had and the pork belly was amazing. The service was very also warm and friendly. All in all I'd highly recommend this place.

Twinned with another restaurant across the street, this restaurant specialises in Spanish style tapas - with some surprising options, like curried mussels! I had a ham tortilla and a potato and ham dish. For a tapas bar, both were too large. Half the portion would have enabled me to share more dishes, which is, after all, the meaning of a... More

Thank you for your comment. We are quite surprised to realise you found the food bland because our cuisines are characterized by spices, herbs, nuts and seeds. I would suggest you to come and visit us again. I agree the portions are not small as traditional tapas. Our proposal is more dishes to share and bring to the middle of... More

The restaurant is small and cozy, with 6 tables and the cookers just across the counter. It is not a cheap place, but it's fare. The waiter was very nice with us, altohugh the house was full.

Thank you for your opinion. We try to have enough staff to deliver the best experience to our visitors. Prices may be a little bit high, because the ingredientes are costly. We try to have the best quality and our productions are slow cooked and fresh. Our mantra is quality, quality, quality! We hope to see you soon! Spread the... More

Went for an early dinner and was first in the doors at 6:15pm. Small place with perhaps 8 small tables for 2. Very very welcoming staff. Picked a salad and the cajun shrimp, and I can highly recommend both of them! Not really tapas, as each was a larger dish. The wine selection looked excellent, but I took a glass... More

Thank you for your kind words. It is true that our dishes are larger than traditional tapas. Our invitation is to bring them to the middle of the table and share. We have a selection of seafood tapas, pork, beef, salads, veggies and wines, sangrias a beers. Welcome back! See you soon! More

Description
This is a tiny and familiar restaurant. Customers like it because they feel like at home. It is the first tapas bar in Colombia and is well known by its contemporary menu, composed by traditional Spanish tapas like tortilla, Serrano, but also by its creations. They even have their own version of patatas bravas and they are actually very famous. The Serrano salad, the white fish in basil oil with asparagus and dried tomatoes, tha lamb burgers etc. Tapas go along well with a cold beer, a glass of sangria or wine. If you want to have a unique and personalised experience come to Tapas Macarena. Feel free to order what you want, ask the waiter or the cooks. And something else, the music is really nice.....
