Went to CaCao Sampaka with aunt and uncle, which was their selection for our lunch. Staff were great and so was the food. No issues there, but this is a French island and they still love their cigarettes. A lot of people smoking which really was a bother to my uncle. My aunt and I asked to be moved when... More

.....runner up in the bad food category What a disaster. What a disappointment. So looking forward to a good French lunch experience. If that is your plans go elsewhere... - one water glass until we got our own - academic as we had no water for 40 minutes - no menus until we got them - no bread until I... More

Had a meal with my partner and the food was very good but the service from the waitress was truly the worst I have ever experienced. We ordered two meals and only one arrived. Every request was met with either "No" or ignored - it was so bad it became amusing. We asked to speak to the manager but he... More

Late decision for a Sunday lunch out. Very welcoming, great service, entertained our very poor French skills with compassion. The food was fabulous. I had the moules with the most divine Roquefort sauce. Too nice to leave but seriously considered drinking it out of the bowl !!! . I guess the true test was the ratio of locals to etranger.... We enjoyed our lunch here. Friendly service with complimentary Amuse Bouche of toast and olive tapenade. Both our salads were delicious. We had the Earth and Sea and the Sea Breeze Salads, both served with dressings on the side. Good wines available by the glass. Lovely ambience and very nice table accoutrements.

We dined here for lunch with another couple. We all had delicious meals. Our server was most helpful with decision making on what to order since our combined French ability is conversational at best. This will be a repeat place for us next time we are Noumea

This was the most memorable meal of our week in Noumea, wish we hadn't left it until the last night! Food was amazing, service friendly and surroundings spot on, a perfect blend of French and pacific. Food is not cheap in New Caledonia but this was worth every franc, it was filled with french speaking people which has to be... More

I had an excellent meal here – tuna with a sesame seed crust with a green pepper sauce and mashed potato. I was wandering along the Baie des Citrons and chose this place because it seemed busy and had lots of locals (in fact, I only heard French accents). The meal was cooked with flair and was very tasty, and... More

We stumbled across this excellent restaurant by accident but enjoyed the food and quirky but tasteful environment so much that we returned again two days later for another meal that we enjoyed just as much. Over the two visits we had the foie gras, octopus and oysters as entrees and the lamb and prawns with scallops as mains. The wine... More

We loved everything about our meal here. The ambience was pleasant, the service friendly, efficient and helpful and the food delicious. The Royal Royal cocktail was delightfully light and my husband enjoyed several different glasses of red wine. the four of us all enjoyed each dish and the deconstructed tarte citron for dessert was absolutely stunning. The shared dessert plate... More
