We had read about Au P'tit Cafe and we now know why it was rated so high. A wonderful experience which gave us the taste of fresh food prepared to perfection. Menu has choice of 4 mains and 4 desserts and changes weekly with fresh local produce being used Not only very tasty but so well presented.....and looking at what... More

Very busy restaurant with both locals and tourists but the service and food were impeccable. Small menu with large servings and super fresh ingredients and the dessert taster is a must! Top of the hill in the nicer part of the Latin Quarter with spraying mist for hot, humid days. Definite highlight.

Be really careful when paying. We paid with card and they said it didn't go through. So we paid again with cash, came back to Australia and had been charged on the card too. Very expensive meal.

Hello, It's not normal if you are charged by card and by cash ! Please contact our restaurant by mail with additionals information (date, midday or evening, number of bill if you have yet...) and we will checked in our accounting. Did the Waiter has given you a card receipe with "cancelled transaction" ? It's strange because we don't found... More

I really can't describe easily how good is the food "Au p'tit cafe". We went at this restaurant three times and we were never disappointed. The menu is small but this is their secret, cause they create every week a different menu depending on the fresh products that they find on the market of Nouvelle Caledonie. Every plate is full... Was so excited to get there for lunch. Blackboard menu had four selections, unfortunately with no help from the staff for an Aussie tourist with minimal French, I accidentally ordered tartare which was nice but not really my thing, my fault but the staff could have been more helpful. I wasn't offered a wine list, just a red or white... More

Having misjudged the distance to the restaurant from our hotel, we were quite late and very puffed when we did arrive for dinner. The head waiter was very quick with the water and drinks and also gave us time to decide. A small French menu but beautifully balanced. We found the restaurant unpretentious and the staff were extremely friendly and... More

A must find and experience in Noumea! This patisserie is exellent value and worth seeking out. We used local currency (pacific francs) and found the price and value to be second to none! We were warned that Noumea is expensive to buy anything but when we could buy two quality pastries and two coffees for under 1000 francs ( around... More

Really enjoyed the food here. As others have said there is only 4 or 5 things on the menu to choose from and it is all in French. The waiter was very nice and explained it all in English for us. The service was also pretty good and we enjoyed the free appetisers before the meal. It ended up costing... More

Really enjoyed this restaurant. Really good food - interesting dishes. Only four choices of main for lunch so the four of us tried a different one each. Not a scrap left! Obviously a favorite with the locals so not a great deal of English spoken but we managed! Would definitely go there again. You can watch videos of the chef... More
