I booked a table for lunch at the restaurant next door but, because I'm dumb and blind, we had lunch here. My wife had the shrimp, which she enjoyed, and I had the mixed grill, which was pretty awful. The meat was badly overcooked and the sauces were like paste. The service was okay but nothing more. I arrived by... More

My husband and I got recommended this place by our hotel. It definitely lived up to its reputation. It's a mix of french and new Caledonian style food. It was a nice night out.

The food is served very simply, but is super tasty. All meals come with rice, veges, salad and coconut condiment.

Went there for lunch. As other reviews have stated there is a standard accompaniment of a Taro type purple salad, sautéed vegetables, coconut rice and a green salad with tomato. My wife ordered a mixed grill which was truly excellent. There were 2 tasty sausages, a 2 pieces of grilled steak. The steak was so tender that it cut like... More

I visited this highly rated restaurant with great anticipation. Unfortunately I was disappointed.... It was a weekday and it was very full so service was almost non exsistance ( understandable especially I do not speak French ). Anyway, the manager gave me recommendation and it was tasty local food. However, I have experienced symptoms of typical MSG food: very thirsty... More

We booked a table for lunch knowing this is a popular but small restaurant. I had the prawn and scallop main. It was accompanied by rice, a garden salad, a spicy salad and what I thought was probably sweet potato or a purple yam. A good mix of tasty French and Kanak flavours. Plenty ofdrink options available- I had a... More

Excellent meal. Need to book as very popular. Best meal we had in noumea. Staff very friendly and happy to assist with our attempts at French. French wine available and Melanesian inspired food.

My friend and I were attending a conference in New Caledonia, and most of the dining we could find in the city are French cuisine. With the help of a local friend, she recommended this beautiful local restaurant to us. The restaurant resided within the Latin Quarter, a nicer part of the town. As usual in Noumea, dinner only start... More

Make sure you book ahead, as the restaurant is quite small. Menu on the blackboard is all in French, so be prepared to get the good old Google Translate out! Staff have very limited English, but having a basic grip on French helps. Service was great, staff were lovely. Food was fantastic! Will certainly be back when we return to... More
