Eat where the locals go. The great variety is spoilt for choice... too many and yet too small a stomach to have all...worth returning to try more dishes. Order small portions to have more varieties on your table is the best way to enjoy! There’s...seating area upstairs, highly recommended... very low tables, seat on the floor just like the locals (not recommended for those with bad knees). They’ll serve you the local mixed nuts and tea leaves salad, pieces of palm sugar jaggery to complete your meal.More

We were taken to this restaurant by our car driver who recommended us this place for authentic burmese food. It is a large restaurant with mediocre decor. Ground floor was crowded so we went to fist floor where the seating was on low table and...we had to seat cross-legged. Food was average. We had had much better burmese food at many places in Myanmar during our tour. We were surprised when the bill mentioned prices higher than those on the menu card. When we pointed it out, they tried to tell us in their broken English that the new menu has higher prices. They produced a manu card which had all blanks at the prices sections. They took us to the owner who started writing down new prices at the blank places in the menu card. When I started clicking photos, they relented and gave us a new bill as per the menu card. I think they were trying to cheat us just because we were foreigners. It left a very bad taste for usMore

By far the best restaurant in Yangon, for authentic Burmese food. The place is a little way out to get to, but by taxi it should not be a problem . Unfortunately one cannot book a table, and the restaurant is not grand, but grand...where food is concerned, and the dishes are plentiful , and varied. The helpings too are good, and for foreigners it was cheap. I would recommend prawn curry, also fish ball curry.More

It was a recommendation of a monk and our first evening in Myanmar. The waitress was friendly and helpful. Food was simple but very much and delicious! Price was unbeatable!

I work in Yangon as an expat and i eat here regularly because they have a great variety of delicious vegeterian dishes, though a lot of people also visit for the non vegeterian food. This is a lunch place and they dont really operate in...the evenings. They have good local salads (Thoke) too which you can ask them for. The food is delicious Myanmar traditional food, this place is loved a lot by local customers too. I saw a lot of reviews which mention the tourist prices being different, personally, I haven't faced any such scenarios myself in the last 2 years. I would recommend to just ask them the price of the dish before you choose it at the counter. This would help to solve the problem beforehand. They also have a menu which you can refer to for prices and I think they have a english version too. This should be helpful.More

This is a decent Burmese place but there’s definitely a seperate price for tourists and locals. This is fine but would help if you know before.

This is definitely one of my favourite restaurants - tasty & what a great variety of delicious food - helpful happy staff who along with the Burmese customers create a lovely atmosphere. Highly recommend.

After living for 4 years in Thailand I’m quite sceptic about the food served outside the country. This place proved me wrong. Even though I arrived after closing time, they still served me while closing the restaurant. Suddenly a whole group of people appeared, tables...were carried away and they worked around me. As if I belonged to the group. These things happen in Asia, I love it!More

What a great local restaurant! I had a delicious lunch here and the service was friendly and quick. They don't speak much English but the menu is pretty clear and lists things in English. The prices are very reasonable.

Authentic Myanmar food with great curries. Meats were cooked fork tender. Nice salads too. Made on the spot. Many local lunch crowd with no tables empty. Locals waiting patiently for their empty tables tell you a lot about their quality of food. Nice lime juice...too.More
