Went with our large group and was accommodated with no problems at all, its a busy place and we encountered no problems at all, in fact they were really on the ball. Food was tasty and well priced and we had a glass of wine, you cant get good wine here but this was fine. All in all a great... More

This restaurant is a "must do". The name means lotus flower. The grounds have an elegant feel and the food is terrific. We ate here in the early evening, so all the string lights were on, which made the eating area very enjoyable. A friend helped us order as we were unfamiliar with Myanmar dishes. We had the tea leaf... More

We ate in the evening and having reserved a table, sat at the last one available. Despite being very busy, the service was friendly and efficient. We had tempura prawns, which bizarrely were served with crinkle cut chips, followed by Mossaman Curry and Mutton with chick peas, all the food was very good. Had a bottle of wine and the... More

This place is clearly popular with the locals as well as the tourists and for good reasons. The chicken and pork curries were both delicious and the green wing beans an interesting and flavourful surprise. The service was very courteous and quick. Next time I will book a seat outside in the garden.

Great garden and cool even in the middle of the day. Food is very good. Well patronised by tourists and their guides. So nice to eat outside in a big city

Great setting for a lovely meal. We had set menu,as organised by our guide, which was good and had plenty of choice. Service very efficient. Would highly recommend although take insect repellent as it is in a large area of vegetation.

Another lunch on our tour of Myanmar. The restaurant was not very busy when we went, but the Padonmar is obviously used to group visits and we could not fault the prompt service and there was plenty to eat. The food itself, was pretty good for a fixed meal with lots of different dishes to try and share

Dear Sirs, Thank you for your comment. We are glad to hear that you enjoyed the food. We do cater for the groups in the large hall and in the garden but we also have private dinning areas in the main building. More

THE GOOD: Tasty food Good service Reasonable COULD DO BETTER: Not much Why not five stars, I guess just because it was jam packed with tourists and not a local to be seen that it took away from an authentic experience for our first lunch in Myanmar. But saying that, the food was tasty and very reasonable. So can not... More

We were recommended to eat at this restaurant by our driver who was taking us to the main Yangon highlights. It is a definite stop off for tour groups but don't let that put you off. It has a large attractive outside area which caters well for this. We ate inside in a cosy small room as it was dusk... More

Jan 15 Our day trip included going to Shwe Za Bwe for lunch, but it was more convenient to go to Padonmar, which was closer to the itinerary route. We were given a long table near the entry by the cashier and reception. This location certainly lack the ambiance of the dining room or terrace. I noticed that the patrons... More
