The food was exceptional. Myanmar traditional street food in a fine dining atmosphere, I recommend the dumplings, so juicy and yummm. It might be projected as alittle overpriced but the overall vibe was all vintage and beautifully designed and well-thought of. Although, the staff were kind of uptight and not very welcoming. Other than that, i had a great experience.... More

We've been to RTH 3 times as we loved the whole thing. It's one of the few places in Yangon that are actually beautifully designed. They have a huge menu with lots of different dishes and drinks where you recognize that they really thought about what to offer. We don't share the negative reviews about high prices: you can get... The Rangoon Tea House may be named after a bygone age, but this busy restaurant is very much of today. It buzzes with atmosphere and is a perfect pit stop when temperatures outside are soaring. We enjoyed grilled butterfish, pork neck and rice, along with watermelon coconut drinks which were divine. Service was prompt and attentive. The only thing, though,... More

We ate here twice during our business trip to Myanmar. The staff were friendly and very well informed about the menu. The service was excellent. The food was well presented and full of flavour.

So I was looking forward to going here for dinner. The food came very quick, even before one of the drinks were served! The first to show up was the national tea salad. I have to say this is very unique dish that I liked a lot. I would go back for this! Second came the chicken roti which again... More

The teahouse serves midrange delicious food and drinks. It's definitely worth treating yourself to a meal here. It's a lovely place to relax for a tea too. Curries start from 6,500 Kyats. Try the Dragon fruit drink with coconut water, lime and honey. For dessert definitely try the chocolate samosas! They are so yummy!

The image conjured up by the name certainty doesn't match reality. It's a bland cafe which serves equally bland tea and food. OK if you just want something to eat and drink but don't expect anything out of the ordinary.

Description
Rangoon Tea House is a modern recreation of an old, colonial-era restaurant set in the heart of downtown Yangon. The cuisine is inspired from that of local tea shops, whose traditions stretch back to when Burma was a part of British India when Rangoon was the second largest migration port in the world. That translates to the menu where you can find Samosa's. Mohinga, kebabs etc.
