First Night in Rangoon and delicious Dinner at Le Planteur. Not cheap for this Country but Food and Service Great - Prices comparable with Europe but we would go back again Ambiente very nice and special. Have you ever experienced Gooses, ducks and rabbits close to your table in a 5* Restaurant?! Even the so called scared rabbit run to... More

Very attentive service (mind you there weren't many of us there on that evening) and the food was some of the best I've ever eaten. The atmosphere was relaxed and the decor old fashioned. It might be livelier on more popular days (this was a weekday). Very expensive.

We had dinner there and served foods in style. Portion was less what we had but foods were tasteful. Spacious garden and nice landscape. Friendly staffs. One of the best in town.

If you want to try some excellent food in Yangon this is the best choice. Lunch menu is simplier but also affordable. Dinner menu is quite expensive. An extraordinary experience when you travel to Myanmar.

We almost didn't visit this restaurant because of a review on Tripadvisor which claimed it was overrated and over priced. So glad we ignored this reviewer who must have been impossible to please or just a grumpy old man!. We have eaten in fine dining restaurants all over the world and Le Planteur holds its place with the best. Each... More

After only visiting Le Planteur for lunch, we've made a booking for supper to celebrate my husband's birthday. As it is dry season, we were seated outside next to the lake. Initially, there were many annoying flying insects, but after awhile they disappeared. You can't expect to sit outside and not have insects. The dinner menu is more limited than... More

What a wonderful place to eat – fabulous place and grounds in the smart part of Yangon – certainly not typical of the city. The food was excellent and well presented, even if a little too theatrical for me, but there was an extensive but expensive wine list. We had been touring the country and our visit was advertised as... More

Ate here as part of a group so that may be a partial explanation of the disappointment - set meal. The setting is stunning and the service was excellent. However the quality of the food was poor - a view shared by the majority of the group. Impression was gained that it was living on it's reputation - a feeling... More

Set and/or a la carte meals in an old colonial house. Beautiful setting and furnishings. Worth the visit.

Description
WE HAVE MOVED TO 80 UNIVERSITY AVENUE. Le Planteur opens a new restaurant on Inya Lake, at 80 University Road. Le Planteur (Inya Lake) upgraded even more to the next standard of finesse in quality, standard and ambience!! And so, Le Planteur (Inya Lake) remains faithful to its concept, in a stunningly attractive venue!! It is an exciting and wonderful evolution and change for Le Planteur - but the things you and I love about Le Planteur have not changed. A new Chef arrived at Le Planteur! The team is proud to welcome Chef Gil Dumoulin who will be in charge of the fine dining restaurant.
