Great place for relax with amazing tea selection. Not easy to find, is just behind the corner of the main street walk in Insadong.

The entrance to this complex wasn't straightforward to find. If you venture down the laneway on the left side of the complex, you'll find the entrance and the tea house within. The tea house is set in a gorgeous building. We were seated at a...More

The tea here is fairly expensive (we paid $6 or $7), but the portions are large and the tea is rich and delicious. We especially liked jujube, quince and plum. Dawon is a nice refuge, a place where you can unwind in a peaceful garden...More

I loved everything about it- from the beautiful garden to the traditional floor seating. The tea is a bit expensive but comparable to Osulloc which is just around the corner. The tea is quite strong, but you can ask for more water if needed. Lovely...More

Found entirely by accident and just what was needed after an afternoon's sightseeing. A 'Tardis' like place: so much bigger on the inside than you'd guess from outside. Excellent selection of teas and 'sweets' - the dried ginger shavings and sweetened garlic pieces are great!

The atmosphere of this place is great when in a sunny day to take a traditional tea. Which actually does not contain tea but mostly traditional and medicinal plants to stand in good health.

I found information about this tea house online and went there with a friend. It's hidden from the main road and you have to go through a courtyard to find it. The atmosphere is relaxed and you get the feeling of travelling back in time....More

This is the traditional tea house which I visit each time I go to Insadong. I love their wide-range of tea and the ambiance is relaxing. You can choose to either sit on the fllor (traditional Koran style) or at Western-style table. If you choose...More

So this is like the middle of town and there are tiny streets and tiny restaurants. Somehow in the midst of all of this, there is these walls which open to a big piece of land and a ancient Korean teahouse. This place is fantastic...More

I love the ambiance of the place esp if you choose to stay inside; very relaxing. I enjoyed the jujube tea and tried their assorted traditional rice desserts. The staff are friendly too. It's not very difficult to find. The street is on your left...More

Insadong
Nestled between Jongno and Samcheongdong, this small
neighborhood offers a crash course in various aspects
of Korean culture. Rows of shops display traditional
Korean goods such as pottery and earthenware, crafts,
fans, and more, making it a popular spot for souvenir
shopping. The Ssamziegil shopping complex in
particular has become a local institution for its
unique spiral layout and the many boutique shops
