Waited a long time to get served, when we did 3 out of 4 drinks came, then we ordered food average at best when we finished the 4th drink came the worst hot chocolate ever I think they used water from the nile.

Very historic. The cafe where Nasser and others plotted their revolution and the turning over of the government. Little has changed in its decor and it's well worth a visit.

And when I say 'Classic Egyptian' I mean old and tired. And smokey. Dirty. But Cafe RIche is iconic, so it's worth a visit. Especially if you're doing some sight seeing downtown. The clientele was very eclectic and a fun conversation with your dinner companion as to who everyone is and what are they doing in Cairo! I ordered the... More

This quirky restaurant/bar/pub is a great place to unwind and enjoy coffee, tea and a light meal. The waitstaff are attentive and the atmosphere teleports you back to Cairo 1940-1950. Many a revolutionary would meet at this cafe and plot their strategies. Great location and nice to have a quiet place to chill.

This cafe has a lovely olde worlde feel to it perfect for escaping the hustle and bustle of Cairo. We had a selection of starters which were delicious.

Going or meeting someone in Cafe Riche is going back to the 60th... still decorated in the stile of the time you feel history. The cafe was opened 1908, often closed and reopened only recently. If you come for food: it serves Egyptian-Lebanese food, nothing special. They serve alcohol, but since September 2016 with the new VAT prices have increased,... More

This is a historic place in cairo and has a cultural value considering the remarkable peoples used to visit for a café in last century ' menu is not bad provides different choices but food preparation is really average, one expected more quality and more traditional items and service considering the history of the place. We were three, paid 330... More

Good food and good service, in downtown Cairo. The one thing that frustrated me was that the menus available online said that they had WiFi, which was one of the reasons I visited, but they did not. To be fair though there were no signs advertising wifi. The food was perfectly cooked. The staff were attentive and the perfect mix... More
