Great food and location. We were three diners, we had two tajens, one salad and that was enough to satisfy us. Bread and rice came with the meal. They were also able to get us beer at very reasonable prices (35LE = Stella). Overall our dinner, with 5 beers was 335LE, which was great. We did order the moussaka and... More

We were tired and hungry and needed a sit down after shopping in the souk. This was an Egyptian recommended find. The food was full of flavour, the staff were great and the prices were good. We had traditional fare and were not disappointed. We sat and watched the world go by from the Roof Terrace.

Apparently the British owners are no longer around. You can get there by running the gauntlet along the Souk (Old Market Street) from the main entrance on Station Road or shortcut that from a couple of roads from the Karnak road near the Nefertiti hotel. el Sahaby lane and that beside the shop called Santa Claus (??) It is probably... More

Lovely break from the hassles in the market below. Friendly and helpful staff. Great targines and rice dishes Good to order first and then explore the markets for a few minutes, as the food can take a while if you're in a big group

A welcome relief from the aggressive souk peddlers. Dinner was delicious- had the Red Sea shrimp, and COLD BEER. Yay for cold beer

This restaurant was set up by a Scot 10 years ago. It has been owned by an Egyptian for the past 5 years but the staff is the same. It is located in the middle of the souk with a large terrace on the first floor. There is a variety of Oriental and International dishes, at very low prices. Beer... More

The Jamboree is located at a busy central location in the tourist souk, with a first-floor balcony (and an enclosed dining room for chilly nights) overlooking the hustle and bustle below. The menu offers both Egyptian and international options. Staying in the Winter Palace Pavilion we were just a short walk away from the Jamboree, so it became our default... More

We go there on most visits to Luxor. All the meals we have had have been good. Staff very helpful. If we go in the day we just have tea and cold drinks and sit overlooking the souk. In the evening we have a meal, which has always been good. The homemade soup is so good and steaks are lovely.... More
