Furusato came highly recommend by many local friends. We gladly went there for my son's farewell dinner, before he went back to NYC to finish his Masters. Such a great disappointment! Where do I start? With the seafood soup that was mostly broth and vegetables: with one prawn and one piece of fish, confirmed by our waiter. With sushi so... More

The restaurant seems to maintain the Japanese environment, but the food and service is not good at all. The staff is slow to take orders and serve food, the veg tempura I ordered was tasting bad, I had tempura before, and liked it so much, but this one was not at all tasting good, I informed chef about this, but... Furusato is always great and the tepenyaki always a feast for the eyes and a treat for the stomach. Kids really enjoyed it too.

If your a Sushi/ Japanese food lover I would strongly recommend Furasato. The food is great and so is the ambience. There sushi sets are an excellent option for a group of four or more.

I'm not big on Japanese cuisine but this is a great place if sushi is your thing. Overall though the food was great. Ambience is nothing to write home about and again the place doesn't lend itself as a romantic eatery. They've mastered the art of serving large numbers which is no mean feat and the staff quite attentive to... More

The food here is good but the restaurant is large and lacks atmosphere. It didn't feel Japanese at all with it's high ceiling. Staff was attentive but I think they are used to high volumes of people so there was no real connection between us and the waiter. We did see lots of Asians coming for dinner so that speaks... More

Food is quite authentic and decently priced. There is option of outdoor seating. The staff were sweet and helpful and quick. Only 2 things that put me off 1. The decor was very basic, I had gone for a fine dining experience and was disappointed 2. The sushi wasn't great. Overrated Japanese restaurant.
