ava chain now runs this restaurant. We were staying at the Aero Club so had breakfast and dinner for two nights. Has a little kiddies area which is great for the kids to play and watch the aeroplanes taxiing on the runways. Also a garden area where you can sit in the open. Staff are very friendly and service is... More

We were in transit so had a quick meal in the evening, the staff were very attentive... The giant samosas and burgers are great... plus Tuskers, of course!

We decided to have dinner at the Aero Club to avoid rush hour traffic after our arrival at Wilson Airport. Decent food and a friendly staff. Pleasant way to spend a couple hours after a long day of travel.

This restaurant is right on Wilson Airport in Nairobi. The deck has a view of the landing strip, and there is a nice garden area, too. The Java House chain now runs it, and we found the food to be so-so. My husband had a club sandwich, which he said was very good. The spinach quiche I ordered was overcooked... More

Had a few hours to kill before our flight and driver suggested here. Only 10 minute walk fro terminal and had a great breakfast in comfortable surroundings. Staff were very attentive and friendly and we didn't feel rushed. Bit pricey for what it is, but be careful how you pay. We had no Kenyan Shillings so asked to pay in... More

Was looking forward to a great lunch but the owners changed and had sandwiches and coffee instead which was a bit disappointing. Great view of the small planes. Note: Have to pay to get in via main entrance esp Uber service

This place is ideal for lovers of the Aviation Industry, the ambiance is excellent with run way meters away from the lash garden where you can enjoy a drink and sumptuous meal with friends, colleagues and family.

From the past reviews this place has certainly taken a back step. I do hope that they realize and improve again. The historical Aero memorabilia is interesting.

The Aero Club of East Africa was founded in 1927 by the aviation pioneers who opened up the frontiers of Africa. It still retains that 1930s romantic charm and historical ambience. The club is the only restaurant at Wilson Airport, four km from Nairobi’s central business district on the Langata Road. It is on the edge of the Athi Plains, with easy access to the Nairobi National Park and Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. The restaurant has inside dining, a large eating deck and tables in the garden and by the swimming pool. It overlooks Wilson’s 007 runway and is an ideal spot to spend the hours before you leave on safari or to unwind on your return and watch planes and helicopters land and take off while soaking up the atmosphere in this legendary piece of Kenya’s aviation history. Chef Neil McCarthy and the Creative Kitchen Co. team moved into the restaurant at the Aero Club of East Africa on 1st October 2011. Neil has cooked and consulted all over the world, from London’s Mayfair Hotel and the Moscow Metropole to California’s vineyards and top-range hotels across Africa, including the Mt. Kenya Safari Club and Nairobi’s Tribe hotel. He is famous for his tasty gourmet burgers and dry-rub spicy BBQ ribs. He creates tasty international buffets and a la carte specialties. Sinful puddings include his New York style, melt in your mouth, baked cheese cake and home baked apple pie. He serves mouthwatering and seriously satisfying food.
