The portions are big and you can easily share one plate 2 people. the prices are reasonable and the soup is well made. Get the balcony sitting area.

I have heard that the goat meat is imported from someplace where the goats are well-fed and well-taken care of! Wonderful goat meat (especially!) dishes, but I'm sure that the other meats here are delicious as well. Huge portions! Two or three can eat for what is served on certain "Platter" type lunches!! Everything is very tasty here. The folks... More

When I am hungry and want a hearty meal, this is my place. Food is delicious and the portions more than enough. The prices are also great. The downside is when busy service takes a bit of time.

Living in Nairobi for around two years, I was dropping by Rayan at least once a week. It has really good and fresh food, huge meals and the best juices in town. Especially for this price. If you're not very hungry, ask for something smaller, e.g. shawarma. Definitely worth checking out, if you want to get lunch with locals. It... More

Rayan makes food that is really filling and fresh. The servings are very large and it is best to come on a really hungry stomach. The food is mainly non vegetarian. The service is fast. On the down side however, the restaurant needs to improve on cleaniliness. Maybe hire professional cleaners.

I was looking for Halal restaurant till I found this . I like the food and the atmosphere there , hard to find a table at lunch time . A wide variety of African dishes plus good location near Kenyatta avenue and the city center . Prices are reasonable .

Always enjoyed my meal here until a rat crossed my table walking comfortably as if it lived there. I almost threw up being that i had just finished my meal. Well i had to dash out though i was having a good time with my gal. Sad ending to a fabulous meal

I thought I should look for a place for a quick bite while in Nairobi on a rainy Wednesday evening. Turning the corner I saw this place and thought, why not? So I popped in and immediately noticed that it specializes in Somali cuisine. I ordered for their delicacy, which was goat meat that had been roasted then deep fried.... More
