This restaurant is not easy to find if you don't know the address. You have to look out for a sign that says Yangfangshiyihao (羊房11号); that's the address of the restaurant. When in doubt it's best to ask the locals, or else rely on GPS. The full address is as follows: 德胜门内大街羊房胡同11号 Yes, food is definitely expensive here. Be prepared... More

I did my research before booking here, the majority of reviews were positive, a few (such as Fodor) warned against it. In this case, the truth definitely lies with the nays. My wallet and I are very sorry to report that this place is an utter waste of money, a truly forgettable, bland and boring meal at a criminally extortionate... More

This is a peculiar little restaurant down a run-down road in Beijing. The food was good although nothing amazing compared to what else we had eaten on the trip. Service was very good but the whole experience didn't justify the very high price.

Far off, hard to find, you should pass a dark Hutong alley. Small restaurant with few tables, and very expensive menus. The staff, especially the lady in charge is very attentive and friendly with good service. The foods are too much for one person and are not very especial, but I was there to taste an imperial dinner and food... More

You can scratch this place right off your book and focus on the other 999 places. It´s very expensive considering local prices and the food does not correspond at all. Blend flavors and nothing amazing or even new. I should have known better when we got there and such a "famous" restaurant was absolutely empty...

At the tucked away Li Imperial restaurant in the middle of the hutong, you can choose from many fixed price "Imperial" lunches each with about 20 courses of small and larger plates. We had the "basic" lunch - about $48 per person and it was fabulous. You could choose a lunch costing $420 per person including bird's next soup, shark's... More

Though a bit pricey we really enjoyed our dinner at Family Li. The place is very home likely as there are only 6 tables. The dishes served comes in small plate but by the end of the meal you are more than full. Very pleasant experience.

The first taxi the hotel arranged for us had never heard of the place.....the next one found it! Down dark streets full of local culture until we came to a stop with a small sign out front. Looks like small rooms set out from an interior sidewalk. Unfortunately our waiters did not speak English but the menu did! A communication... More

Locating the restaurant was quite a challenge. The small sign on the entrance state "Li Headquarter", giving the impression that it's an office. My wife and I tried the RM 600 per pax set dinner. There is no ala-carte menu, it's a fixed price set menu, the more expensive set, the more dishes they add to the pre-fixed dishes... It... More
