After reading all reviews on Tripadvisor I thought it will be a touristic place but after friends kept on recommending it I went for a trial! It was outstanding! Great local Chinese food for a very good price. Of course, do not expect a lot...More

Original dishes, cosy interior and friendly service. The only reason I did not rate 5 stars is that during our second dinner we had here the fried potatoes were undercooked, just too raw. We tried to explain this to the non English speaking staff which...More

We had a lovely evening, but expected much much more of this place since it had such great reviews. The food is average: we had better in most Chinese restaurants. Prices are similar to other tourist restaurants, but to high in our view in light...More

Amazing shrimps! Not the cheapest, but worth the price. Friendly staff. Nice atmosphere. Could definitely eat here again.

Suggestion from a local American born Chinese. So glad that he made the recommendation as it was one of our three best meals in Beijing (see other reviews for Grandma’s House and Jin Ding Xuan). Unique menu with dishes from the Yunnan region. Atmosphere is...More

We ate here several times during my short time in Beijing. Both Little Yunnan restaurants are very nice and the atmosphere is great and cozy. We had a great time talking to the owner, Ray, who has been very helpful during our stay in Beijing....More

Dear, I think it should be in a hutong near dongzhimen? If so, it's our new branch we call it "dongzhimen branch". Normally we did more events or party there. Sorry for same name we ll try to sign more clear for two places. Thank...More

They earn their reward from TripAdvisor. The food is traditional, good and cheap. Even though the staff don´t speak any English, it´s not a problem. Then menu has pictures and a english translation, as well. We ha a mix of salads, spring rolls and sweet...More

Food generally okay / good. Maybe a bit expensive for chinese standards. Ambience good with nice music and interesting mix of foreigners and chinese people. However, since I finished my dinner one of the employees already did the famous "spitting" sound and spitted in the...More

Yes the food is good and very well presented, but I'm not sure it's worth the excruciatingly slow service, indifferent staff, and general ambience of an American frat house. And the awful graffiti wall on one side of the restaurant does not do much to...More

Description
Little Yunnan is a charming courtyard restaurant with outdoor seating near the Forbidden City, Houhai Lake, Nanluoguxiang and Art Museum, tucked away in the hutongs. The atmosphere is cozy and relaxed, perfect for relaxing with friends, visitors and tourists, and romantic dinners. Yunnan food is exotic, slightly sweet, spicy and sour, and is often described as the Thai food of China. Little Yunnan brews its own rice wine. Definitely one of must-see places when you visit Beijing.
