Coming here again expecting the usual great service and food. Got it in abundance. Peking duck is one of the best in the city and served in a sophisticated ambiance.

I come here every Saturday noon. No matter how buzy it is, the crew always put the guests in the first position, and make me feel as comfortable as possible. ESPECIALLY Maggie Jian, Linda Li and Sam Xu definitely hold the best standard of service in Beijing. I don't even need to mention the food, you will understand.

We went for dinner here last weekend. We arrived at 8.30pm and started to order some appetizer and main courses. Appetizer arrived and while we started eating, 5 minutes later the main courses arrived. So, we called the waiter and asked for the dishes to be sent back since we hadn't finished the appetizer. Once we finished, we waited for... More

I noted some critical reviews after my January review, but respectfully disagree, as the many Chinese guests, that are not on TA, also do. It is a new menu, less Hongkongese, and I lost my crispy pork belly, but still found many well cooked dishes. May be a touch more Northern as regards crispness as before, but this is Beijing,... This restaurant was my favourite Cantonese in Beijing but after a few months' time I recently revisited it, and found the food standard suffered a significant decline. A simple dish, Crispy Roast Pork, has tough skin, certainly far from crispy (a must for this dish). All other dishes were below the previous standard I expected. Service personnel are novice. Previously... More

This was our reward after a tiring day under the sun. Relaxed and elegant ambience. The baby lobster and wagyu beef were scrumptious. The only thing keeping me from rating it 'excellent' is that it was difficult communicating with their waitstaff in English. Quite surprising for a Shangri-La property.

The food is very ordinary. Nothing outstanding or bad. The peking duck here is also very ordinary. Food is served all at once, meaning food are turning cold on the table before we eat them.

Apparently quite appreciated by the high end shoppers that enjoy the China World hotel, and not too many foreigners. The service is very attentive and quite to very fluent in English. The quality of the dishes is good, the cooking a solid representation of the many different cuisines. Do not go here with only one or two, unless you are... More

Stayed here only for one night back in Dec 2013, I truly loved all of the services this hotel offers: From fitness centre to laudrette. Moreover, live music by the piano is almost always available in the evening from 18-21. Certainly a great place to stay. Price range? 5-star hotel so go figure.
