We were very pleased with this recommendation. The crab was fresh-fresh and prepared very nicely; spicy with plenty of garlic. I am told this style of cooking has its roots with the Tanka boat people. The green beans were perfect and the crispy skin on the pork belly was exceptional. It is an art to cook away the fat but... Food was not as good as reviewed. The crab was so so. The morning glory dish was so so much oil. The price is expensive and the staff cannot speak English. Wont come again.

Visited the place for the third time in 4 years and was still very satisfied with the food, beer, and atmosphere. I love Hong Kong!

This is our de facto place for 1st time tourists in Hong Kong because of the special way the crab is cooked and the other food items and it is in the middle of the city so one can do other activities after the dinner or lunch. Main dish here is really the garlic crab and then a mix of... More

Had the set meant for 6 people (for 5 of us). It included a seafood soup, 2 large prawns, 2 crabs, 1 vegetable, 1 noodle and 1 roast platter. Food was so so. Not particularly good. Nor was the food bad. Crab seasoning wasn't bad, quite interesting. The other things were average. Service was good. Ambience alright too. The bill... More

When in Hong Kong one must visit The Peek, Lan Kwai Fong and Under the Bridge Spicy Crab restaurant. Situated in Causeway Bay, this place is an authentic chilli crab eatery, complete with fish tanks to pick your crabs (or massive shrimp! The biggest I've ever seen) and amazingly quick service. I highly recommend this restaurant if you really love... More

We were staying at a nearby hotel and this seemed a good option to try out. A friendly English speaking waiter briefed us on the spicy crab option but I must confess we were led to believe that the 4 people menu option would be adapted for 2 people. It wasn't. The actual spicy crab didn't seem to have a... More

Liked the sound of this place and decided to give it a go despite the mixed reviews. The food was OK - extensive menu and no doubt there are some great dishes there. Mine was OK - not exceptional at all. Service was efficient although communication was stilted - the waitress tried hard so fair play to her. Good value... More

The staff were very helpful. Service and the selection of food was great. I went with a selection of appetisers and each of them were delicious. I would happily return.

We paid US $90.00+ for a crab that besides the 2 claws had very little meat else where. Yes it was delicious, but expensive. There are no prices on the menu, most everything says "MARKET PRICE", but I think it is "locals market price" or "TOURISTS market price", when they handed us a little piece of paper written with the... Staying in Wan Chai / Causeway Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Wan Chai / Causeway Bay
Wan Chai and Causeway Bay are the retail centres of Hong Kong Island. Filled with shops, malls and restaurants, both areas are bustling with people – tourists and locals alike. Causeway Bay has one of the highest rents on the planet, and is a bit more polished and modern than its Wan Chai counterpart. Beneath the surface there is more than meets the eye – find boutique stores in the above ground floors of buildings and wander into side streets to find interesting restaurants and shops tucked away from the main roads. Wan Chai especially has experienced a modern revival in recent times, with an influx of trendy restaurants and bars around the Star Street area. In addition, both areas contain many of Hong Kong’s iconic tourist attractions worthy of your visit.
