The food here is great, the staff are attendance and friendly and the ambience is nice too. This place reminds me of some of the places I've been to in Chengdu. The Sichuan hotpot is really authentic and worth the expense (which isnt cheap). Between two of us we spent HK$800, although we probably orders more food than we need... More

My Brother booked this for a family meal as he has eaten here on a regular basis so it came highly recommended. As an individual who cannot tolerate spice or heat, it was a challenge for me. You have GOT to love your spices and have a high tolerance to heat. Sadly, that was not me. Despite this, the food... More

Even the aroma as you walk in the door is magical. Fabulous food, spicy, delicious, incredible. We shared several vegetarian dishes, each one was soooo delicious!

This was the first time I've truly experienced the mind and taste-bud numbing effects of no-holds barred Szechuan spices. (My prior experiences were limited to U.S. Szechuan restaurants). Recommendation: The Tsing Dao beer seemed to work best as an antidote to the searing spice heat. I now truly appreciate how well Tsing Dao beer accompanies Szechuan food - it was... More

Such a brilliant restaurant hidden away in a secluded building, who would have thought!! Came here with a few friends and while the food was mouth watering to look at, it was mouth numbing after having a few bites! They have some items that are made up of beef or fish which are soaked in crazy amounts of spicy looking... More

I loved my meal here. Dining solo in HK was challenging at times as it seems nearly every restaurant is family style. I was able to get a few dishes (Ma La Tang Diced Chicken; Jelly Noodles half portion; individual dim sum items) and had a nice varied (big) lunch. The balance of the ma la tang (Sichuan peppercorn) at... More

Had heard much about their hot pot so finally gave it a shot. We took the spicy Sichuan broth for our hot pot and I must accept that even by Indian standards it's really hot. The Sichuan peppers in the broth are tangy but have a strong spicy after taste that remains. Next time I would take the other broth...... More

had big group dinner there so we tried a dozen hot dishes and some cold appetizer. The cold dishes were all tasty but the portion is quite small. We ordered a whole cold chicken in chili oil sauce which was very flavorful. The fish in hot chili "water" was excellent we love both the boneless fish and the thick noodles.... More

This serious spicy and hot Szechuan ( with some Cantonese dim sum too ). Quality of their 'garlic white pork' is surely the best in town! Service is good and QPR is far better than the competitor in Happy Valley. Recommended....

Staying in Central

Neighbourhood Profile
Central
When people think of Hong Kong, most imagine movies with famous skyscrapers dominating the skyline. The area widely known as Central is the major financial hub and entertainment district, which truly lives up to the saying, “work hard, play hard.” Bars stay open late into the night and there just happens to be a street party every weekend. Although everything seems to be operating at lightning speed, Central is full of quiet, hidden gems. Nestled between office towers are wet markets and some of the city’s oldest restaurants dating back to the 1960s. Feeling a bit overwhelmed? Retreat from the crowds by exploring beautifully restored historical buildings and even a green oasis of botanical gardens.
