My boyfriend and I managed to grab a late table in the restaurant for lunch. The Setting was lovely, the staff were super friendly and helpful with the menu. Coming from England myself the Pawn made me feel a little more at home. The food and service was wonderful, and I can't wait to go back. Ps the confit salmon... More

Me and my friend decided to visit the Pawn and stop for lunch. We had no reservation but luckily we were able to find a table, despite the fact the place was packed. Unfortunately we didn't get the terrace as already all booked. We both tried the set lunch- it wasn't the cheapest option ($288HKD for 3 courses) buy it... More

Food was very good - can't fault it. What I found incredible is the service - the staff never follow up quickly enough. We waited perhaps 30mins from finishing our mains to being able to request a desert menu. Then we tried to get someone's attention to order desert for another 20plus minutes. I'm amazed (and this goes for restaurants... More

Popped in for apres dinner cocktails. Nice selection and good service. Get out on the patio overlooking the street if you can.

Wine served by the glass is in relatively small amount (approx. 1/4 of a glass) considering a glass is priced on average $90-$100 before 10% service charge. Would suggest portion of wine be increased to approx. 1/3 of a glass with price unchanged!

I thought the service was ok but the food was very average, the onion rings were full of oil, the rest off the meal although well presented was lacking taste-and under seasoned, I was very disappointed as it was pretty expensive, for the same price I had lunch in a 2 star michelin with no alcohol. I'm only in Hong... More

I'm a big fan of Tom Aiken's food and was pumped to visit this place for brunch. Whilst it is nice to have rose alongside the food, I was disappointed by the food portions as well as the overall quality of the food. The atmosphere of the restaurant is great and it's lovely to dine al fresco but I found... More

The building is amazing and so is the fit out of the restaurant but I was expecting a bit more from the food. The starters were nice and on reflection we should have ordered just starters as both our main courses were disappointing. (I had the lobster brioche and my husband had shepherd's pie ) The main course portions didn't... More

I've always enjoyed my meal here. Everything is quality. The bread, butter, meat cuts, vegetables, salads - are all top notch. The service is perfect. This is a place to go to enjoy whether it be lunch or dinner. Nice.

Staying in Wan Chai / Causeway Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Wan Chai / Causeway Bay
Wan Chai and Causeway Bay are the retail centres of Hong Kong Island. Filled with shops, malls and restaurants, both areas are bustling with people – tourists and locals alike. Causeway Bay has one of the highest rents on the planet, and is a bit more polished and modern than its Wan Chai counterpart. Beneath the surface there is more than meets the eye – find boutique stores in the above ground floors of buildings and wander into side streets to find interesting restaurants and shops tucked away from the main roads. Wan Chai especially has experienced a modern revival in recent times, with an influx of trendy restaurants and bars around the Star Street area. In addition, both areas contain many of Hong Kong’s iconic tourist attractions worthy of your visit.
