Hiu Lau Shan is a dessert shop which started in the 1960s, now with branches spread around Hong Kong. This is a longtime favourite locally but in recent years, it has seemed more and more as if their best days are behind them now. Ten years ago, I quite liked the mango desserts at Hiu Lau Shan shops but visits... More

Don't let the photos fool you - these drinks are not sweet at all and cleanses the palate. The double mango shakes are genuine and are not made from puree. Do get the shakes to go because they are cheaper.

It was very popular to Hong Kong people, maybe two decades ago. (It serves lunch set now - rice and dessert set, why?) The desserts are common and taste is just fair, and the price is not cheap (compare to the quality). Locals craving for dessert don't go to Hui Lau Shan. If you would like to have a try,... More

It's a MUST have! The drinks and desserts were simply delicious! They serve mainly cold desserts. If the weather is cold you might want to order the birdnest coconut dessert it warms the heart! I do personally felt that the drinks were a little too sweet however sweetness for the desserts were just right! It's a place we never miss... More

We ordered the mango with coconut jelly. Super duper love this dessert. It was flavorful and we just had to go back the next day to get another dessert at this place!

We'll always visit this whenever we come to HK. Order their mango dessert & u won't go wrong. GUI Ling GAO is also not bad. I tried their steamed milk with bird nest which tasted weird. I didn't like it. My hubby tried their taro with glutinous rice. It tastes like bubor Hitam but 3x the price.

1) The outlet needs clear signage whether to order inside or at the counter 2) Crew seems less interest in serving the customers 3) Wanted to have the bird nest, but was out of stock. Was informed out of stock for some time now. Maybe should inform the customer in advance? 4) Tiny portion. Really. It is overrated honestly. You... More
